What a win! Fuck all you moany lot on the match thread. Depressing and some of you are just happy whinging! Keep faith with these boys!
Great come on here moaning about the moaners, rather than a miraculous win……
Some on here are too busy and quick to moan, had faith all through that game with a good positive performance. 3 points are
  • What's the new song to the tune of Sway?

I heard "Tyreece Campbell running down the wing, scoring goals, make the Charlton sing" but what's the first part?

The home end was fun today 😬. We're gunna do it boys.
  • Lloyd Jones, what a boy
  • I’m refusing to rule out 2nd place at the moment. No reason we can’t make up 8 points on a very average Wycombe team
Agree. We have been outplayed only twice, by Rotherham and Birmingham, in the last 16 games. Injuries permitting there is no reason we cannot keep on winning. We have made up 11 points on Wycombe since Christmas.

When summer rhythms start to play,
Dance with me, make me sway,
Tyreece Campbell running down the wing,
    scoring goals,
    makes the Charlton sing.
  • Talking of TC, he pulled up near the end and was holding his hamstring.  We scored after and he did a bit of a knee slide in the celebrations so hopefully he is ok.

I haven't read all of this, but what got me today was seeing the team not being simply relieved to equalise, but wanting still, so late in the game, to go after the win. It was palpable.
mind you how unhappy would we be if we had chucked it away after just equalising. Since the momentum, and our fitness, was to our advantage, and we were confident of the win, Im very glad we were so positive.
  • Watched on Charlton TV, as the saying goes, its never over till the fat lady sings!
Could well be one of those season defining games.
Just had a quick scoot through the last half a dozen or so pages from the match thread, nearly as entertaining as the last few minutes of the actual game!
  • Love it. Jones and Docherty giving it to the home fans followed by TC who then takes a tumble when walking backwards.

“When the samba rhythm starts to play” is the correct first line - from the horses mouth.

i also noticed TC holding his thigh and chatting to the physio after the final whistle- do hope nothing serious but would expect he’ll miss Tuesday.

  • The scenes in that away end after both goals were absolutely biblical. The sort of carnage we haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying in quite a while.

I bet it was great to be in that away end today, what a day for those that went
It was brilliant especially after we thought we had scored twice previoudsly.

  • Only a big win and not a BIG WIN? 😀
  • One aspect I'll disagree with, from the Post-Match comments is the subs that people are praising Jones for.

Apart from Gilbert and maybe Docherty, I thought they were the type you make when you're desperate and just go for it - Taking Edwards, and especially Coventry off messed up with our shape a bit, and barely noticed Aneke / Leaburn
Yeah i agree. Jones does deserve a lot of credit for the way he's turned our season around, but i'm not sure we can give him too much credit for going for it late on when we're 1-0 down. Any manager in the world does that surely?
