Great finish to the game. I can't get my head around why some are still reluctant to give Jones any credit, the ever decreasing number who don't rate him and think he's just got lucky since early December, but I'm sure everyone's pleased we're contending for top six at the moment. We have a chance. Season very much alive.
Wonderful afternoon watching that on telly. Certainly we didn't deserve to lose this afternoon, but two goals in injury time? Fantastic when you score them. To go straight up, we have little room to manoeuvre, but I'm dreaming of 2nd place now.
Hope Darren Pratley keeps going for years to come. Absolute pro and to be 40 in a few weeks and still be a key midfielder in a League One game like that is so impressive. Nothing but respect for him.
Great shot of the action, probably still trying to claim wrongly a foul on the keeper, Godden did nothing wrong, not his fault if the keeper just backed into him, they get far too much protection anyway...good goal. Oh and that naughty little tyke running away...😂😂
Unfortunately, I missed the O’s game due to a long-booked family gathering, but my son came back hoarse—no doubt from belting out Goodbye Horse! He said the atmosphere was the best since the Playoff Final, with Nutter Nathan crowd-surfing into the fans.
Driving back, I had Radio London on, and the commentary was absolutely electric. Paul Parker and Louis Mendez were outstanding—it felt just like Greg and Tel’s legendary Playoff Final commentary, when we netted the winner with just six seconds left! I've had April 26th (Wrexham away) and May 25th (Playoff Final) marked in the diary for months… could it actually happen? Who knows—but what a ride this could be!
Their goalie was PATHETIC!, his MOM champagne had better be corked!
For a goalkeeper that ‘conceded’ 4 goals, 2 of which were at the end and didn’t get disallowed, to get the MOM he must have been fucking amazing during the times I would have blinked at the match yesterday
Me and my eldest were sitting in the home end in the same stand. The noise from our supporters was non stop throughout. The O’s fan next to me said to his mates I wish our lot could be like them.
Great to be there just wish I was in the away end so I could have properly lost my s&@t! when we got the winner! 😂
Was singing 'Wembley Wembley' on the phone to my Orient supporting ex wife. Ha ha 😛🤣 The problem is, flying from Perth for the Playoff final may well result in returning to another brand new ex wife...
from orient forum Horrible way to lose but to be honest I've got no complaints . I thought Charlton were better than us all afternoon . We didn't look at it whatsoever. We did look better when Agyei came on but we didn't do enough . However we had another stonewall penalty not given . Even I could clearly see the ball hit the Charlton's players arm inside the penalty area . If I could see it why couldn't the linesmen . I'm not being biased here but it was clear handball
I can't comment on this specific incident, but there were a couple of incidents right in front of me, where our players clearly touched the ball with the sole of their boots, to which the Orient fans around me were in an uproar shouting handball.
Considering Orient fans don't seem to understand the difference between hands and feet, I wouldn't take any handball remarks from them seriously.
The goalkeeper was not fouled for the winner. He back-peddled into our guy. The Orient goal was world class, but the corners from Gilbert for our two goals, especially in the context of the moment(s) was class too. Pratley was good all game (it was sweet seeing him come out holding his child), our fans on the stream were outstanding. We did the double over them.
I couldn’t watch the game yesterday. I had other commitments. I only managed to catch the last 10 minutes on the commentary in the car. You know, I just had a feeling something was going to happen and just as Ramsey scored the winner, I swerved into another lane on the M20 much to the annoyance of another driver.
Have seen the highlights and their goal was a bit of a worldy but did they have many other chances 🤔. Welles is delusional if he thinks L’Orient deserved to win. For our first goal, anyone notice the little push by MG just before the ball comes his way. If anything, that was more of a foul than Godden’s basketball screen on the keeper for the second.
If we can maintain our form in the last 13 games, we can grab that second place. Everyone else seem to have the promotion jitters
