Really enjoyable evening.  Thanks to the organisers.

I now have a fab new item for my office wall too..

@Athletico Charlton were they selling these on the night and if so signed or unsigned?

No, I had printed it out before I went and got them to sign it.  Already framed and on the wall.

I have lots of signed stuff on the wall (mainly from the museum), but this is now my fav!  Absolute legends, each and every one of them.

The players Association should defo get some made up and signed as they would sell easily I would think.

    Thanks,

I'd suggested to the club that they get some made up for the night so thought they'd actually done it.

Would sell well if they got it done even after the event.

Reckon they could charge more if they got Bowyer to autograph it instead of that P Ibert geezer!! 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

Heard rumours that the next ex-player Q&A will be with Christophe Lepoint, Lyle Taylor, Yohann Thuram-Ulien and Ronnie Schwartz.

If Pardew had been invited there wouldn't be enough room to fit everyone in as well as his enormous ego!

Really enjoyed it, last half hour was a bit hard to hear, had a group properly pissed up at that point on my table. Curbs shut one of them up on the Parker story.

“I hate Millwall and they hate me” - classic from Bowyer though difficult to replicate the delivery and full emotion on here.

SCP starting up VFR very memorable.

@oohaahmortimer don’t think it’s worth going there on 1-5. They are all true legends of this club and we’re lucky to have them. I don’t follow other clubs that closely but would many have four such respected / lauded player to manager characters from the past 20 years? (And technically it could be five but Pardew’s an eejit to use a polite Scottish term).

Hopefully Jones will be sitting up there in 15 years time reflecting on the transformation he oversaw before finally handing over the reigns to Hylton and taking the Real Madrid job

I know he coached our U21s but never played for us. Otherwise agree.

Mike Bailey would qualify to be a panel member - not sure where he lives or whether his health situation would allow participation.

Eddie Firmani is happily still alive and would also qualify as a player and manager.

    Plus Steve Gritt of course.

V sad re Bailey. His team was the fore runner of SCP’s - with promotion built on a bedrock of 1-0 wins.

Even I’m too old for Firmani but what a legend.

As for Stevie Gritt, he was my favourite player back in the day.

Having met both well away from anything to do with football, I much preferred Bowyer to Minto.

Did anyone receive tickets for this?
I received an e mail confirmation and nothing else.
Has anyone enquired with the club as to whether tickets are required?
Yes, I emailed the club this week as I didn't appear to have tickets emailed previously. They then emailed me the tickets.
I've just taken another look at my e mail confirmation and there are bar code tickets at the very bottom of the email.
    Blockhead

I see the Supporters Trust are selling limited posters, with profits being split with the Ex Player Committee

    Some great stories as well

    Any particular favourites @paulie8290 ?
The plane crash story was crazy

Still can't fully get my head around almost signing Tim Cahill either tbh 😂

Recall Curbs putting it in his book; didnt Murray and Curbs make the mistake of trying to attract him to the club whilst they were each on their Holidays.

So Murray would meet him, whilst Curbs wasnt around, and Curbs met him whilst Murray wasnt around

With all our messing around Everton nipped in and got him ahead of us, think it was something Curbs / Murray agreed never to do again as a result

Based on what Curbs said it didn't help that Murray offered half the fee what Everton offered as well
