RIP Roy Ayers

Ironically today was the first warm and sunny day of the year and had Everybody loves the sunshine blasting out the speakers.
A true musical legend who influenced so many.
I know that a few on here have seen him live, always s great show especially during the late 80s and early 90s.
RIP Roy

That's a real shame, saw and met him countless times over the years, he was one of my favourite artists. Spent a fortune collecting all his old original albums that I thankfully kept when I sold most of my vinyl about 15 years ago. I came across this when I was going through some old stuff a couple of weeks ago, have been meaning to get it framed and put up.

Was up there as a Jazz Funk legend, “Running Away” in my view one of the best ever. Saw him live a number of times. Thanks Roy it was a great musical journey.
