Any pubs showing Stockport, anyone know?

Anywhere near SE7 likely to put this on, do we think? The 'big' game is Forest v Man City and I don't know if it's easy for pubs to show these Sky Plus platform games. The 1230 kickoff stops me watching it at home, just wondered if anybody knew. Thanks.

I dont think it's possible for a pub to show the games that are restricted to the iPad app and dont get shown on the Sky Sports+ channel. The app wont even let you plug your iPad into a TV to watch it on a larger screen so Im not sure how a pub could get around that.

I would imagine they could if they have sky sports and can access the red button but not sure many would if a Premier League match is on. If they show a lot of football they are going to have that I assume. I suppose looking in SE7 gives you more of a chance.

You could try the Rose of Denmanrk. Last year we came to the Player of the Year do, and before that Bromley were on the tele, I e-mailed them to ask if they would put it on, and they were happy to do so. I am sure they will put CAFC on if they can...

Does this matter if the pub controls their TV using an android device?

(Edit- Separately, with no reference or need to visit a pub, if the game is on Sky Sports plus i'm expecting it will be widely available online, e.g. at www.fawanews.com)

Extra info in case helpful to anyone, from https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11065/13130980/sky-sports-plus-for-efl-fixtures-channel-and-subscription-how-to-watch-or-stream-your-football-team-this-season

    What TVchannel is Sky Sports+?

Sky Sports+ can be found on linear channel number 410 for Sky Glass customers, 412 for Sky Q customers and 416 for ROI.

Can I watch Sky Sports Plus on the Sky Sports app?

Yes! Head to the 'Watch' section on the Sky Sports app to access all Sky Sports+ live streams via event centres.

New personalisation means users can access their favourite team's match even quicker by following their club and competition.

Watch the video below for a full guide to watching your EFL team on the Sky Sports app.

Download the Sky Sports app now:

You mean a dodgy stream? Well sure if the pub is happy to show a dodgy stream.

Skysports+ EFL stuff isn't on the red button. You can watch the whatever game they're showing on the linear TV channel, or you have to use the iPad Sky Sports app and that can only be viewed on the actual iPad. It's bloody annoying.

The EFL games you're watching on the iPad are all available on the red button via the skysports+ channel. I'm not sure if I've misunderstood your point but you should be able to see any game of your choice on your tv through the sky box

Ugh, Im reading conflicting things online, yes it looks like you can get everything on a Sky Q box via the red button. Any other kind of pay TV box that isn't Sky Q can't though. You can deffo can't plug an iPad running the Sky Sports app into a TV.

It is - it’s on Sky Sports+, which is a TV channel.

Appreciate this thread... I'm sure it would have been picked up on my Match Preview, when I originally wrote it was a 3pm KO

Would have missed this match, given my original plans for tomorrow, to get out, get things done and then get home for the afternoon.

But saw this and it took a few minutes to work out why it was going to be on the TV here in the UK... Of course the cogs would have turned and realised a bit quicker had I read the whole of OP's post, confirming it was a 12:30 KO, but it still took a minute for that to sink in.

Sorry- didn't mean that- have edited. Wouldn't want to encourage any lawbreaking. An acquaintance tells me the game is likely to be widely available whether pubs showing it or not.

My query to you was about the pub being restricted to ipad, but i've since found it shouldn't be.

Pretty sure it will if you use a VPN as an "International" Supporter... otherwise just audio.

Might just go in the Oak and see. I looked on their website which is the corporate one and promises the forest game. I suppose I could watch it on Now on my phone in the pub. What a time to be alive.

I can’t imagine the Oak on a non-match day. Is it really quiet?

Its on my red button unless it is the match the channel is broadcasting. I have Virgin but my brother can watch the Sky Sports Plus red button games on his sky box.

They'll show a twelve-thirty kick-off, but not one that kicks off at tree.
