Just watched them all over last couple of weeks - enjoyed the humour and well made and enjoyable - some good characters

  • @stackitsteve is this poster avaliable to purchase ? I've had a search but can't see it. Cheers.
  • Binge watched all 3 series over the past couple of weeks, i enjoyed it but struggled in parts.

I'd agree that was the best time to end it rather than drag it on, although if they did do a series 4 of course i'd watch it.

Gave up halfway through season 3 as I thought it had lost it's way . Will try and finish it off at some point

    On Etsy I believe mate.
  • Appreciate I'm about 4 years behind on this, but didn't have Apple TV.

Blitzed through all 3 series in the last couple of weeks, what an absolutely brilliant show.

Series 3 wasn't quite as good - they really rushed Nate's storyline, Jack was an awful unnecessary character etc, but even that series had the Amsterdam episode which was one of my favourites.

Yes - think you're right.  I thought it was a great series.  Heard Jason Sudekis on Chris Evans breakfast show when it was originally on, but rumours are he won't be in series 4 - not sure how that's gonna work though...

Perhaps Season 4 can develop a story line that Rebecca takes up Pole Dancing, or becomes a naturist...

I wish they did a docu drama spin off or something different with the show. Sudeikis is definitely involved (otherwise they would of proceeded with it).

I would even want them to buy out the real Hampton & Richmond Brough (sorry Welling fans) and make a documentary over making a season 4.

Confirmed series 4 today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgev638632o with Jason Sudeikis, but others to be confirmed.  Really enjoyed this - not just for the football elements.

Surprised at so many critical views on S3 - each to their own but I loved all three series, and the way the characters developed as it went on. It turned up on Spanish TV late last year and I binge watched it for a month. Excellent show.

Really doesn't need a 4th season imo. 3rd season was pretty poor I thought

If the reports are true and they are doing Women's football. Maybe finally Charlton will get featured in it.

Latest rumours suggest will be set in USA as Jason Sudeikis will only agree to it if he doesn’t have to be away from home for months at a time…so makes sense focus on women’s football as it so big in US.

it won’t be the same if it’s set in the US surely. Unless the whole team moves to the US. Can’t really see this but who knows.

Filmed at Selhurst, therefore I will never watch it. Just like I’m still boycotting TDK

Season 3 was pony, went from cheesy to just plain shit.

Series 3 had the episode in Amsterdam, which may well be my favourite episode.

But yes, it was definitely not as good as the first two series - the fake Zlatan guy was annoying, as was Keeley's girlfriend, and the Nate stuff was really rushed towards the end.

I really like the show but I'm concerned that it ended in a decent place and they may ruin that a little by it returning.

Abit confusing and goes against the logic about what makes football great (having a community behind a football team).

I understand it is a stretch of the imagination, but the whole thing about relocating the team (I guessing it is still the Richmond Grayhounds) doesn't quite fit the romantic football narrative.

Seems a little Afc Wimbledon MK Dons type vibe.

Again I understand it is fiction, but when you loose yourself in the world that then becomes your reality for the time.

The whole show has always been about our football world seen through the eyes of Americans. So the idea of moving the franchise somewhere else would be a perfectly natural thing to do in American eyes.
