Why give us 391 at the side when there's several hundred available still behind the goal. Unless there's netting/advertising over the seats?4 -

Hello all! Me and the Mrs bought our tickets this morning. Two friends have also asked us to book them in 10 minutes later should I see about getting the tickets put together or is it a bit of a free for all in the away end? Not been to an away match since I was a lad!0

We have also had a "large Charlton turn out" at Wembley a couple of times and they didn't turn out too badly 😉3 -

I could only buy a £27 ticket last night so does that mean stuck on the side ?0

Allocated seating is nonsense and more hassle than it's worth, get there as soon as you can and head towards the back, stragglers then don't have to faff around.
The idea that some people can show up 15 mins later and try and sit in an allocated seat closer to kick off is ridiculous.
I genuinely hate everything about allocated seating away. Just has to be common sense and being courteous10 -
The idea that a temporary seat belongs to someone really gets on my tits, sorry for the rant.
At home and season tickets fine, away, no chance. Sitters at the front, standers at the back, problem solved.14 -

I get the point but some people can't stand for periods and need a seat at the front so maybe those that intend to stand should stand at the back.3

Been a while since we had the sit down, stand up, get out my seat row, must be doing OK on the pitch again.9

Thanks for your sage advice everyone, especially the Away end vets. I’m mainly a sitter so I’ll take heed of the advice about sitting towards the front. Here’s to three more points! COYRs!!!0

If I ever wanted to sit I'd always just go to the front.
I think my hatred of allocated seated also comes from the power trip stewards get from trying to act like some type of enforcer and speaking to you like you're nothing as they attempt to selectively guide people to their seats.0 -
I’m all for siting where you like when there is enough spare seats, but when it’s a full allocation all you need the odd spare seat in a row which causes chaos across all areas.3
-
Are there any grounds where a steward is there to attend to your needs as a customer, like making sure you're happy in your seat then going to get drinks etc if needed? Also sorting out ticket dispute directly. Maybe it's something for the future.4

are you suggesting Posh will want us to win so they can secure some players that Tayo Edun (a mediocre left back, not a youth scout) liked the look of?
I'd love to agree but I'm not convinced!4 -

For matches like this, where Charlton will sell out the away end (especially given our current form), there should not be any seat allocation, as we are restricted to 2 tickets per supporter, so it’s impossible to get a row of seats all together for groups of fans who go together
There are 6 of going Saturday, and we want to watch together obviously
In fact, if we sell out or not, there should not be any seat allocation
Put another way, the more ‘lively’ Charlton fans will congregate together, regardless of what their ticket says - behind the goal, high up - there will be other fans who are less lively / not ‘industrial language’ etc, who would not want to be near the ‘lively’ lot, but if their tickets were slam bang in the middle of them, they would seek alternative seating
It always works itself out - been following Charlton away for donkey’s years, can only recall 2 times someone was insistent that they had the seat I was in - both times they moaned that everyone was standing up and moved3 -

In all seriousness, I highly doubt Peterborough have got Tayo Edun scouting for them, let’s be serious.0
