Ernie was a centre forward from the Sheppey area. Born 8th December 1957. He was signed by Charlton as an Associated Schoolboy in December 1972, and upgraded to an Apprentice Professional in May 1974. He played for the Colts in 1974-75 and made 2 appearances in the Mid-Week League (Reserves). His registration with the club was cancelled in March 1975, after which he played for several non-league clubs including Romford, Sheppey, Gravesend and Hastings. RIP Ernie1
