  • It is a joke really. The quality of our academy speaks for itself.

Unfortunately they don’t want to hear.
Really need out of this league for so many reasons.
  • We lost the toss for venue so the U17s final will be at Spurs.

No idea if that means White Hart Lane, Stevenage (where their U21s play) or their training ground. Likely to be played around 9 April.

Commitment to getting cat 1 and significant money will be spent to that end, I was told.
I go away that week so doubt I can watch

    I’m gutted
  • There was a feature on Sky Sports yesterday of "A day in the life of a Charlton Athletic Scholar" featuring Pheonix Valentine.

Does anyone know where it can be seen?

  • Serious test (as you'd obviously expect from a final) as Spurs have beaten Norwich 3-1, West Ham 5-0, Chelsea 4-2 and Derby 5-0 to get here.

Whatever happens our results are very impressive considering the difference in resources, us being category 2 and our u18s (many of them u17s) not having the best league season.

  • The website article says the stream costs £4, with no mention that Charlton TV subscribers can watch for free. I thought that the Charlton TV contract said that all streamed academy games can be watched for free if you have paid for Charlton TV?

Yeah I thought the same, it’s unclear.
  • Brilliant.
    First pointless, then the final.
I was the person along with Pico of this parish who presented Jack Belton with the Steve Clarke award last year before the final against Bristol City.
That team were very good, and ought to test Tottenham.

It does say " Those WITHOUT a subscription " can purchase the stream.
