Those Kent bowling figures are underwhelming. Quite democratic that 1 umpire (Tredwell) is ex Kent, while the other is ex Sussex!
I always find preseason cricket games even more of a tough judge than preseason football esp with expanded sides. Kent I assume have Wes Agar to add to that side? Sussex have Dan Hughes and Jayden Seales to come in as overseas.
Do agree that Kent attack looks a quality bowler light even with Wes to come. Parkinson will probably be the main threat
Bringing in 2 overseas bowlers is quite an investment in the early season. I guess we want to get off to a good start, and hope Parky can come into his own from June onwards.
A bit odd that Cohen is training in S Africa away from us.

With Rogers that makes four in total but, presumably, we are making a saving on Agar not being with us for those first two months. Cohen training in S. Africa is strange but that might have something to do with us knowing that he probably won't be fit for the start of the season and not wishing to interrupt what he is doing out in what are likely to be more cricket like temperatures.

Knowing Kent's history, Cohen will be fully fit in September, just before his contract expires!

Interesting that Finch opened with Muyeye at no 4, as the second opener spot has been a bit of an issue for us. Finch opening and keeping wicket will be tough though.
Finch opening again in today's practice match, maybe a permanent switch.
238-8 declared. DBD 56, Evison 51 (ret) and Jaydn 56* the main contributors. Muyeye really has used this as an opportunity for time in the middle - he batted twice for 2 (9) and 20 (51) and didn't hit a boundary.
Well we've had a fair selection of guest bowlers turning out for us today - Fred Klaassen (despite having white ball only contract), Corey Flintoff (dad is doing some guest coaching), Harry Dowling (from Bexley CC) and someone called M Mian?
Chris Benjamin opened in out second innings and was out first ball - that's a duck in both his pre-season innings when opening.
Just 14 contracted players unavailable for the game that has just ended for one reason or another which left us with a bare 11 - seven of those missing are seam bowlers, hence the need to bring in outsiders. Garrett was on the team sheet for his week's game but didn't play any part so, presumably is injured.

Agar was originally due to come in April but will now be with is for June/July whereas Keith Dudgeon and Kashif Ali will be with us for April and May.
A bit odd that Cohen is training in S Africa away from us.
