I always thought that Madonna in La Isla Bonita sang “I fell in love with some Deigo” rather than “I fell in love with San Pedro.”
Next time you hear it you’ll see what I mean.....it’s uncanny.
I have only been into rock n roll for about forty-seven years, and if I have heard "The Girl Can't Help It" once, I have heard it 1000 times (probably more). I have always been a bit unsure of the fourth line, but have happily sung "When she walks by the flashlights turn to toast" for years. Now I know that doesn't make a great deal of sense, but you are talking about a man who sang "Bama-lama-bama-loo" and imortalised "Awopbopaloobopawopbamboom", so a flaky lyric can be expected.
I finally got round to looking up what the Georgia Peach actually sang. Apparently it's "the bread slice turn to toast"...

'She's all wrapped up in her invisible llama'
I always thought she was singing ’Roses in the hall’
Even now I’m suspicious that she sneaks a few ’Roses in the hall’ into the song.
Lays me down, with my mind she runs

No need to fight
Never a frown with Gordon Brown.
