Last year was my first time fully watching virtually every game from May onwards. Not a bad year to start off with really! Perks of having 6 months sick leave then working from home!
I enjoy watching baseball but don’t really follow. Who is tipped this year? Did the Fenway tour on a work trip to Boston last month, fabulous sporting experience.

LA Dodgers are the favourites as everyone is still saying how Ohtani is the greatest, which isn't true. Then the Braves, Yankees and Mets are the next favourites.
Following the Red Sox and for the first time in a few years I have some excitement ahead of a season. Some big arrivals in Bregman and Crochet plus an unbelievable farm system with the first of the big three now up in Campbell. And Anthony and Mayer following close behind.
There's a good programme on Netflix about the 04 Red Sox breaking the Bambino curse. They really do hate the Yankees!
Probably better than a pretty disappointing drama from sky Atlantic I watched the other day by billy Crystal called 61* about the breaking of Babe Ruth's record of 60 home runs in a season by Rodger Maris.
Half decent Spring training for the Giants. Not going to be there in the shake up I am afraid, still rebuilding. Of the favourites I wish the Mets well.
I went to Spring Training a couple weeks ago down in Phoenix. Was a great time. I'm a lifelong White Sox fan. They're going to be terrible. Some interesting young players though.
Should be an exciting season. There are a lot of good not great teams.
Some quick predictions that I'll probably look back on and regret come October: AL: East: BoSox Central: Guardians West: Rangers WC: Orioles, Royals, Mariners
I know it's chalk, but I just think they're the best team with the best pitching and the best hitting that has now shown they know how to win Playoff games.
Probably going to be a long year for the Padres unless Bogaerts and Cronenworth rediscover old form.
Most excited to see Jackson Merrill this year. After an electric rookie season, he's come back this spring looking even leaner and sharper. Started with a 4RBI game. Be interesting to see how far this kid could go because right now he looks like an incredible CF for his age.

Oh great made for TV film that! I remember watching it when I was younger. Glad to hear it's still kicking around.
Giants win a series in NYC against the Yankees for the first time ever. Amazing stat. Jung Hoo Lee is on fire, hope he stays fit this season.
He looked like a fun player last season but got hurt so early. Nice to see him doing well. The NL West is brutal. I don't feel bad for the Rockies, because they're the Rockies and they make their own fate, but the idea that one of Giants, DBacks, Dodgers, or Giants might miss out on the playoffs is bonkers so early in the season.

Not expecting too much this year.
