Worst food you've ever had at a football ground

Best is the Football Special burger sold outside Bramall Lane.
Worst was a pie I had at Watford away on New Years Day about 8 years ago. It was a midday kick-off, and I’d been out in The Venue in New Cross until about 5am. Was literally shaking as I was trying to eat that pie, but my old man insisted that I needed it.4 -
Early 80s meat pie at Huddersfield. All of us in the car had one and we were all paying homage to the great porcelain god soon on our return.0

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m00297d5 - interesting piece on match day food on Radio 4 which starts down the Valley. Pretty harsh reviews of our food offering!0

it's a very competitive contest .. generally football ground food is over priced, over cooked/warmed up and mostly shite .. I gave up buying it years ago .. had some good stuff from vendors outside grounds, even there you gotta be very choosy1

I tried the “Famous Burton Faggots” after a few ales last season….
The beer was excellent (outside the ground), but the Faggots (inside the ground) where minging!
Guess just not for my soft southern palate.
Somewhere in a parrallel universe a northern money is griping about jellied eels.

Burger at Stockport this season - inside the ground - was quite frankly, appalling - I managed 1 mouthful - just shocking0

The worst I've had was a meat pie away at Huddersfield in the eighties. Luckily I held on to it during the car drive home, but my body chose to evict the pie and everything else as soon as I got home.0

Burger bought at Watford. I think the tray it came in would have tasted better. £8.50.
I took it back and complained but didn't get a refund.1 -
Old Trafford in 1994 at the FA Cup match I got food poisoning from a burger that wasn't cooked though properly0

The worst food I had was from the burger van outside our club shop. The meat was decent, but the bread was awful. It gave me a stomach ache for the whole match lol.2

I saw England out in Moscow in 1992, the sausage served up I would not give to my dog.

Haven't read the full thread, so may have been mentioned before...
Boiled burgers from a van in Harvey Gardens. 80s I think.
And yet I had them more than once.0 -
