Dixon: Today was good for his development and increasing the physical/social side (as some fans have been calling for). Thankfully today was a good day and we didn't need to depend on him and hope he enjoyed the celebrations. Aneke: Came on helped with Dixion Watson: Good Anderson: Good McIntyre: Good

Not sure why Chuks goal was ruled out, if it was off side then the Lino needs sacking. Rant over sorry ref you had generally a very good game
MANNION: 7 - another afternoon where he was underemployed, although he had to come out sharply and well when Jones had a 'moment' in the first half with a poor headed backpass RAMSAY: 8 - commanding as ever JONES: 8 - dominant aerially. He reads the game extremely well and intercepted a number of passes with good foot-footed defending (in the manner of Patrick Bauer) GILLESPHEY: 8 - very good SMALL: 8 - tore into Huddersfield in the first half. Quieter in the second but he is such an entertaining and fun player BERRY: 8 - his best game for us, with some intelligent and perceptive passes. Drew a good save from their keeper in the second half COVENTRY: 8.5 - controlled the tempo of the game and covered every blade of grass to win the ball back when we lost it DOCHERTY: 8 - worked extremely hard throughout and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet with one of his two strikes, especially the second. Good to see our midfielders having some decent efforts on goal EDWARDS: 8 - a fine return to the side. A tough and aggressive defender who repeatedly stops crosses coming into our box GODDEN: 8.5 - another excellent display of centre-forward play. Has an almost telepathic understanding of where his colleagues are and his movement and finishing are first class. He also defends extremely well from the front CAMPBELL: 9.5: MoTM - a superb display. So traumatised were the Huddersfield defenders that three of them were drawn to him but were fearful of making a tackle, allowing Tyreece to calmly slip the ball to the Doc to lash it against the underside of the bar. Referee: 7 - I didn't notice him much, which is always a good sign. I liked the way he made players take throw-ins from the correct place, rather than stealing several yards
MANNION: 7 Not much to do so hard to mark higher. RAMSAY: 8 Strong and solid. JONES: 8 Dominant again. GILLESPHEY: 8 Very strong game. SMALL: 7 Great cross for the opener, but struggled with end product after that. BERRY: 7.5 I am not a fan of him, but thought he linked play really well. Desperately needs a goal. COVENTRY: 8 Great work rate. Won lots of the ball either through tackles or interceptions. DOCHERTY: 8 Did a great job, same as Coventry. Should be awarded the goal. EDWARDS: 8 Great to have him back. What a difference he makes. GODDEN: 8.5 Great goal, set us going. Fantastic movement and work rate closing down. CAMPBELL: 9.5 Near perfect. What a game he had. He was unplayable at times. Referee: 7 Missed what looked a clear penalty, but otherwise very good.
MANNION: 8 Had little to do but did it well RAMSAY: 8.5 Quality JONES: 8.5 So important GILLESPHEY: 8 Improving each match SMALL: 8.5 Great cross for 1st goal BERRY: 8.5 Effective COVENTRY: 8.5 Everywhere DOCHERTY: 8.5 A captain's performance EDWARDS: 9 Essential GODDEN: 9 Essential CAMPBELL: 9.5 Unplayable Referee: 7 Makes a nice xhange
MANNION: 7.5 some good claims and good kicking but hardly anything to do.
RAMSAY: 8.5 - he's so quick so strong, and so good on the ball. What a signing.
JONES: 8 - Normal dominance without having a lot to do
GILLESPHEY: 7 see above
SMALL: 8.5 What a ball for the first. It starts with him anticipating the poor ball as well. Generally back to being a danger man.
BERRY: 8 - Two assists, presses very well, generally tidy
COVENTRY: 9 Did everything well. An absolute star in the making.
DOCHERTY: 8.5 - Worked his bollocks off and had some moments of quality in there
EDWARDS: 8.5 - Another what a signing from a lower league like Ramsay. So strong and so solid. Attacks don't go down his side and that's not a coincidence.
GODDEN: 8 - What a goal and worked and pressed so hard. On another day he could have been MOTM, today he's not even close because...
CAMPBELL: 9.5 MOTM This young man is MOTM and what a performance. Got the two goals he's deserved. Two moments of real quality. Worked hard. Looked dangerous every time he got the ball. What a talented young man.
Referee:
ANEKE: looked much, much better today. More like the old Chuks
MANNION: - 7 Hard to mark, as he could have got the sun bed, and the Ambre Solaire out. But no mistakes, and when he was asked to perform, he performed well.
RAMSAY: - 8 Not quite as dominant as he can be, but I think he was carrying a bit if a knock from the 'robust' challenge in the first half. 'Not as dominant' is still bloody good, though!
JONES: - 8.5 Typical Jonesy. Hurling himself into headers and challenges from kick off until final whistle. And, despite the scoreline, still found time to criticise his defence for any mistakes! One of many leaders we have on the pitch now, compared to 1 last season...
GILLESPHEY: - 8.5 He really was very good. Twice in the second half he was across to the right hand side, snuffing out potential danger. He's become a revelation, and, I'm sure, will get a few votes for PotY.
SMALL: - 7.5 Great anticipation and cross for the first. Decision making is still suspect. If his brain matched his physicality and skill, he wouldn't be playing in League 1...
BERRY: - 8 Played his part in a midfield 3 that dominated their opponents. Good assist for TC, and nearly a cracking goal. So good in the press. Never leaves anything on the pitch. Another good leader, cajoling and encouraging.
COVENTRY: - 8.5 Machine. Won everything that came near him, and great vision and technique in his passing. It was nice to be able to sub him, and the fans acknowledge his performance. Make no bones about it, one of the reasons we are where we are.
DOCHERTY: - 9 Absolutely outstanding. Must know every blade of grass. By their first name. Hassled, harried, won tackles, tidied up, and a goal to boot. (I don't care if 'officially' it was an own goal!) Another great leader on the pitch.
EDWARDS: - 8 There's no doubt in my mind that Josh was a key cog in that performance. So solid defensively, makes a massive difference. Tired after coming back from injury, but expecting him to back firing on all cylinders by next Saturday.
GODDEN: - 9 An absolute joy to watch. The most complete striker I've seen at The Valley for a long time. Wins header he shouldn't by clever movement. Links play outstandingly. Cracking goal, getting a free header by getting away from his man, and what accuracy. Another couple of good efforts on goal too. Yet another leader on the pitch!
CAMPBELL: - 9 MotM. The first time he attacked his marker, it was clear, he had him on toast. Two good goals, and another shot, but for the 'keeper, would have been a goal of the season contender. Still had time to pick his man out for the Doc goal. Not a word I use often, but was unplayable.
