Petrol head passed his driving theory test Monday , so I’m Mansfield bound Tuesday
pick him up from school, up the A1 boring game of league one shit, then back down the A1 crash in a Premier Inn before dumping him back at school .
I’d already booked it up before his theory test anyway , lunatic is mad for it

Great stuff ! REAL dedication to the cause.

But a tad concerned that you've stepped in for the chauffeuring duties this time, sidelining the lovely, caring Mrs oohaa .....

Guess you must have a soft spot for The Stags ?

New ground for me but I’m not of that ilk , same circumstances next year I’d go again … I haven’t been Burton and turned that trip down , I’m a glory boy going cos we were winning new grounds don’t do it for me …. Would have loved a refund after watching P’boro tear us apart

I was at the last away league game we played there in 1978. We won 3-0 but I can’t find and can’t remember the scorers. Anyone know where I can find that info as I have drawn a blank?

Been there but not for a CAFC match.  Shrewsbury were the visitors on a Friday night. We were playing Forest on the Sat and went up Friday lunchtime- round of golf & then found digs somewhere.

Isyden Christie was playing for the Shrews & was on my radar as he had been banging them in.

Bought mine yesterday, but yeah looks that way
  • Still not bad for a midweek game up North. Public transport options for getting back on the night are not good so requires an over-night stay. I would have liked to go, but work commitments rule this one out for me.

  • I think they are good numbers . Our fanbase have paid a lot of money travelling with the team and most probably do the home games as well. One game had to give to below the 1000 mark but if the away end is good it's enough to make a lot of noise.

Will the ticket office be open after the game tomorrow?

I tried to return a spare for this after the game and the box office was shut… absolutely crazy what world are we in where the ticket office is not open straight after the game and especially after that result, must’ve been plenty who might have picked tickets up!

Anyone got any recommendations for pubs, car parks and whether or not the town is worthy of an early trip up for a sightseeing afternoon?

Their website mentions if not sold out tickets are generally available on the night

I purchased my mine yesterday from Cafc tickets online and there was the option to pickup from Mansfield ticket office
