Might be worth a punt if we are still in league one.
Need better if we are in the championship.

He is a class player and well capable of stepping up a division. I'd be really happy if we could get him in
    Agree.

Left on bad terms due to poor treatment by a coach no longer with us so may not want to return, assuming what Nixon says has any truth to it, which is a big if.

Was he in the youth set up when Jones was there?
Out of interest, who was the coach?

Think there was some L1 interest in him last summer but he chose to stick out there, admirable as club captain. Assume he’ll move on somewhere this summer

He's gone on to have a solid career, but 2 seasons at Colchester followed by 3 at Fleetwood suggests he's found his level.
He was Fleetwood’s best player last year in league one. I agree with comments about maybe Championship being too big a jump, but would be a good signing for any league one club next year.

I'm a bit jaded when it comes to signing other team's players of the year.

We had a run of shockers. Players live Gilbey, McGrandles and MacGillivray. I have a feeling Kirk and Lavelle were POTY's too.

He was known to have a bit of an attitude problem when he was younger.  That was a while ago so he might have matured. However I really don’t think he is an upgrade on any of our current starters so if you want to sign him as depth that’s fine but we should looking at better players if we want to upgrade

He was about to sign for Wigan in January but an issue was highlighted in his medical so the move fell through

Cheers... I thought I was going mad when I saw he still played for Fleetwood, as thought he'd joined Wigan

I doubt we are in for him. I think it’s most likely lazy journalism linking a player that will probably get a move to league 1 and just picking one of his former clubs

Fleetwood paying that transfer fee for Stockley was in hindsight a red flag.

I do not know anything about his character or his previous. Just going on how well he has played whenever I've seen him. I watch a fair bit of random league 1 and 2 games and in amongst the mayhem there are some real stand out players who, for whatever reason are still in tier 3 or 4 or were for too long

Louis Barry is an obvious one as was Callum Hendry, a couple of years ago McKirdy at Swindon, the kid Wimbledon sold to Ipswich, Al Hamidi, Matt Stevens at Forest Green, Dom Telford. This season Charlie Crew at Doncaster, I'll be shocked if he doesn't play in the Premier league then you have guys like Jamille Mat and unbelievably Dan Crowley playing for the franchise. A lot of luck and timing is needed for a player to squeeze the most out of the decade or so they have to really get games in and put themselves in the window and I cant help but think were it not for injuries or word getting around that someone is bad news these could have and can have good careers in the game. Had Lyle Taylor not signed for us and hit the ground running he would never have got his pockets filled at Forest and would have bounced around tier 3 pissing managers, fans and team mates off before turning up at a YouTube team

Not nice to hear. Why do (certain) people think it's okay to give players abuse just because they had a bad game.

So harsh, a very nice bloke off of the football pitch so he doesn't deserve that shit.

Was genuinely annoyed seeing him have such a poor start as I know how horrid actual Internet trolls can be and the likelihood of him getting abuse online.

I hope he bounces back and has a good a good season after a bit of a calamity

What a miserable thing football has become when a player can receive that level of abuse for having a bad day one game into his career at a club

Have to wonder how much abuse has come from online gambling, with people venting their frustrations at the person to lose them their money - Not trying to excuse the scum, just trying to find a way to some how understand how someone could think to come out with shit like that.

I watch a lot of county cricket streams on YouTube and the live chat is just full of fans gambling

Virtually every game he is either responsible for giving away a penalty or goal.
He is also less frequently responsible for a goal or assist.
On the weekly highlights he seems to be having a mare of a season.

And some on here wanted us to sign him to play in the championship…

I’m sure he will come good though because he’s a decent league 1 player

    Guilty. I was wrong.

Although at that point none of us realised our owners had just found a new oil well in their garden.
