  • TC now lives in Bromley  now lives in East Kent, which explains his calmness, positive mood and excellent form.

He said that his brother is a physical training instructor and it was him he worked with over the summer to build up his strength.

I suggested that Dixon might benefit from similar and he said he'd bring him along to his fitness sessions.

    TC fit for Saturday?
Possibly, he trained today, but I'm not a sports scientist.

I'd imagine that he and Jones will continue to build up towards Saturday and the club will decide closer to the time.
If TC is training already then that's great news as he will surely be ready for Saturday. If Jones is only running but isn't in full training then he'll be less likely to make it. I wouldn't risk him for Cambridge anyway, i think we can get by without him and bring him back for Northampton.
wonder if we start not rushing players back too soon to prepare for the play offs
This is exactly why i don't think there is a need to rush Jones back for Cambridge.

I'd rather he was 100% for the run in, than we play him at 80% even though at 80% he is arguably still our best centre back.
  • I imagine Jones will be keen to play at Cambridge, his previous team, so the medical team will need to be very assertive if they don't think he's ready.
  • Perhaps we should be looking at resting Coventry a bit, give McIntyre/Gilbert a spell in midfield and Mitchell in defence.
  • I don't think we should start resting players, taking things for granted has a habit of coming back and biting you on the arse.

Agreed, perhaps have for all use of the substitutes and ensure players get rested.
