Saw em last night at Hammersmith Apollo and they were brilliant.

Was texting a mate, looked up at the bloke dancing away like a loon next to me to find it was Mick Jones of The Clash. . . .

I was standing next to Mick Jones at a gig last Thursday (Billy Bragg's Jail Guitar Doors benefit).
He seems to be perfecting the look of a dissolute undertaker.

Even more excitingly/scarily Jimmy Pursey (spokesman for a generation) was standing in front of me.

Spot on! He does look like an undertaker!!
  • Great band. In the early 70's Queen were the support band at their London gigs. Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor returned the compliment in 1976 on the Ian Hunter solo single 'You Nearly Did Me In' by providing backing vocals for the track (found on the album 'All American Alien Boy').
  • thats weird - Dudes was just on the Radio! Love Mott and All the Young Dudes a fav of mine.
  • Read a review. Wish I could have been there.

Didn't realise Ian Hunter was 70!!!!
  • All the young Dudes written by David Bowie of course.
