Wonder if we'll be tempted to take Edwards off at some point

Put Small at Left-Back, Campbell at Wing-Back and Aneke up with Godden - Wing-Backs arent exactly impacted the game too much, and Edwards is on a booking.
I doubt it with Jones limping. We can't afford to take Edwards off with no CBs on the bench

Well done lads. Wycombe are starting to get frustrated.

Berry does look a little hurt. Hopefully just a muscle stretch from that rocket.

TC will have some opportunities to stretch and attack them in this half. Hope he is in clinical mode, as it could be the difference soon after HT.

Excellent first half, Wycombe have looked sloppy but that's because our press has been largely effective - really limited them

We have also been so clinical - Berry struck that ball SO sweetly

More of the same second half please

What a solid 45mins. Two cracking goals. Wycombe looked ragged. Let's keep it up.

Love how calmly Gillesphey reacted after he walked across that deflection clearing it with his chest - Its actually been difficult to work out who our best Defender has been, given how he's dealt with Kone at times.

Its probably an outstanding combo, as you've got Jones to clear with his head.

Macca is the option to deal with it when its on the ground.
Hopefully McIntyre is there taking notes 📝

The problem is, so is Jones, and if he gets sent off after we take Edwards off that'd severely limit our options to rejig the defence with no centre back on the bench.

No one has a better defensive record at home than Wycombe (only 11 conceded, four less than us) so it’s going to be very tough for us to score today.

We will need to keep it tight at the back ourselves and steal away with a one nil victory.
    WTF

    Get in

Well, that was as easy a first half as you could hope for.

Excellent half from us. Got the goals and now stop them playing.  Slight concern over the injuries to Berry and Jones, and the bookings don't help.  A baying crowd Got Edwards booked and I hope the ref is not swayed by them. Just be consistent please.

Gotta keep them out early in the final 45, and hopefully we'll be OK.

    COYA!

Jones looks hurt, no CB on the bench either

Mitchell seems out of favour and McIntyre has been a liability in two of his recent matches.

I think there is a Footballer there with McIntyre.

Give Jones time and like we've seen from Gillesphey I think he could be an asset for us - Still wouldnt complain about having him backup next season to Macca, unless we can find better, so Macca becomes the backup.

Great half. Hopefully we learnt our lesson after Blackpool away.

Bit of a strange first half with neither team playing that well. Berry did his thigh scoring a great goal. In a way this game probably suits Anderson more so not a terrible thing to have to bring him on.
With Wycombe needing to score we will get a chance or two - our passing hasn’t been good enough so far so hopefully we can improve that in the second half.

Brilliant half of footy by the boys. Wycombe have been poor, expected more from them.

My only worry is the ref. Too easily swayed by the Wycombe players.

I would love another defender on the bench , rather than 3 big unit strikers

Some number Ramsay is doing on Kone.
    He's not had a sniff!

The first half has finished mate. Nothing that happens now can change what I've said about the first half.

Happy but can see the faults too. Going long a lot. Fine. But our midfield is not retaining or finding a pass. We would be so dominant with more accuracy. 2 more please then maybe us fans can relax and enjoy seeing the game out.

Don’t trust this ref he going to give them some help in some way … real battle Jones getting booked again early puts him under pressure .. Campbell non existent at the moment … needs to help those around him …

Didn't have HT as a buffer though, certainly need to frustrate Wycombe for the next 15mins or so though... An early goal would be a nightmare
  • If someone is sent off for a straight red and gets a 3 match ban, do they miss the first play off game?

Keep it tight and look to exploit the gaps.  TC will skin their behemoths at the back one on one.

We just need to concentrate at the start of the second half. We can’t afford to switch off and let them back into the game. Need that third goal

6-0 is the target now to tie up the goal difference!  :D
