Away from Kent there’s major controversy in the Essex v Worcestershire game as Jamie Porter seemed to ground the ball on his c&b final wicket of the game

Gloucs batted for far to long. Leaving us over 400 off 40 overs when they can have as many as they like on the boundary, if things started to get away from them, wasn't much of an invitation anyway.
Yes, we got out of jail because of their cautious declaration.
Garrett has bowled 17 overs in the 2s match and has taken 3-62 so far in the game so seems well on his way to recovery. Cohen, on the other hand, bowled just 5 overs in the first innings and not done so since.
One name to watch out for - an Academy lad called Rajan Sian who is making his 2s debut today. He was selected for the prestigious Bunbury Festival last season (for those that aren't aware, this is a tournament for the highest rated up and coming 15 year olds in the country and one which a lot of the current England team would have previously taken part in) and is a quick bowler with plenty of potential. His figures to date are 14.3-0-63-3 which for a raw 15/16 year old is quite commendable.
Interestingly SACA have two sides playing currently - one against Kent and the other, containing two of our former players, Arafat Bhuiyan and Hamidullah Qadri against Worcs 2s.
In our game, Kent, chasing 293 to win, have just lost their first wicket with the score on 149 (Harby for 70). Ekansh is currently on 71*
The Tier 1 One-day 50 over cup starts tomorrow with Kent's out ground, Beckenham, hosting Surrey v Somerset. Of course it is. With, potentially, anything up to eight players that came through the Kent age group system representing Surrey.

That shows how much Slurrey take the p155.
First they take our players, now they're after our grounds.
They'll be nicking a lime tree to plant at The Oval next.
