They come across as pretty delusional. Especially after hearing the neutral perspective on the NTT20 podcast.
Everytime I've had a look on there they're delusional. About a month ago they predicted we'd lose 4 of the last 8 games because we're not as good as them to be able to keep our form up
Some of it is quite reasoned, accepting we’re in good form, and they could get nervous. Others are predicting 7-1 and things equally daft.
What I will say for Wrexham is that you have to give Parkinson a lot of credit as they shouldn't be where they are in the league with the players they have.
Hell would have to freeze over before I gave that twat of a manager any credit.
I guess what will stay with me, regardless of how this all plays out, is how for a fair bit of this season we were absolute garbage. To even be within sniffing distance of these sheep dipping Hollywood Z-listers is a bloody miracle.

How well did with us can be debated, and his achievement at Wrexham can be put down to money, but he’s also a manager who took League 2 Bradford to a League Cup final.
When you are chasing, there is much less pressure on you.
Except we're the ones for whom only a win keeps us in with a chance of automatics. Handled the pressure better than Wycombe on Monday, as Wrexham did in beating Blackpool, who many on here thought wouldn't win that game.
Their fans are right in saying we have to go all out for it. We do. It's all or nothing for us in the fight for automatics. More pressure on us, and if the fans don't believe that, our manager and players certainly do even if they try to play it down.

That second paragraph sort of implies the Wrexham fans think their team doesn’t need to go all out at home and can sit back and counter attack. That won’t go down well if the home ends are full of home ‘fans’ expecting a day of glory.

I wouldn't expect them to approach it that way, but if they go for it and lose, they'll live to fight another day. We won't. So the pressure of chasing is only less up until the point where the chase ends if you don't win.

The situation for us hasn’t changed from Monday to this coming weekend. Given that we spanked Wycombe 0-4, either we are a team built to thrive under pressure, or it’s our opponent that felt that pressure to not give up their position in the driver’s seat more than we did in terms of trying to catch up.
This Saturday, the pressure is definitely on Wrexham to stay ahead of ourselves and Wycombe, just as it was on Wycombe to stay ahead of ourselves and Wrexham this past Monday.
It’s all about perspectives but given where we’ve come from, we are just delighted to be in the conversation with two games to go. That’s how I see it.

If Wycombe don't win at Orient, then Wrexham will go into our game knowing they will stay 2nd regardless of what happens.

Their fans will expect them to win to get promoted at home rather than away though, place could get edgy if it isn’t going to plan

Then the pressure will be on them to seal promotion there and then before a tricky away game at Lincoln.
Human psychology, loss aversion - it’s always harder to be in the driver’s seat and feel like you might lose something that’s already psychologically yours to take, compared to having it out of your control but a real opportunity to win something from behind.

We didn't go into Monday's game knowing that only a win would do to keep us in with a chance of finishing second. A draw would have kept that dream alive, albeit that it was highly unlikely to prove enough in the end.
However, Wrexham's win did change the situation as we now go into that game knowing a win is a must.

Clearly the Wycombe game may have an impact on this, not necessarily tactically but mentally for Wrexham. Then there is also the question of their respect for us and what we can do. We tend not to think in this way about our side and focus on the opposition but forget that is what the opposition do too.
I think we set up to compete against Wycombe all over the pitch and suspect that will be the philosophy against Wrexham. Even though we need to win the game, I would expect us not to go to gung ho and we know if we keep them out we only need to take one of our chances.
I know Jones plays his cards close to his chest - so I doubt anyone will actually know the answer to this question! - but do we have any injuries for Saturday?
Seemed like quite a few finished the Wycombe game struggling a bit. Berry went off early with supposed "cramp" - which seems a bit unlikely after only 30 minutes; Godden was pictured with an ice bag on his knee; someone said Jones was on crutches; Small looked like he was limping a bit when he went off; and not sure if Campbell is really fully fit.
Will be a huge shame if injuries finally catch up with us on Saturday.

Agreed. If Wycombe lose earlier, then a draw against us would likely see Wrexham finish second as they'd see us off and be three points clear of Wycombe with one to play. Could make for a cagey affair, both going sideways and backwards for 85 with both trying to sneak it late on.
I'm not really expecting that tbh 😉
@Callumcafc nowhere have I said Wrexham aren't under pressure, just not more than us.

These are the games where nobody gets injured, or admits to it unless they are physically incapable of playing.

Haven't they gone one of the biggest budgets in the league? Got ex prem players like Rodriguez, Mclean, Fletcher, James on big money spent 2 million on Smith from Reading
