The reason that Ahadme has not featured is that he is too slow. Modern football even down in league one is that the pace is intense. He cannot close down quickly enough, he can't be a channel runner and he can't chase flickons through the centre. He might have a decent touch, an eye for goal in the box, but without pace he will never feature in a Jones team.

This can't be true because there's about 40 comments on here saying how good at pressing he is...
I have to question this idea that he angles his body in a special way when he presses. Every player naturally cuts the passing angle. Anyone who's played football or basketball or whatever else has done it. Perhaps his size and awkwardness makes it look more pronounced but there's nothing unique about the way he presses.

1 goal all season . I haven’t seen the touch either

Pace or lack of it is one of the easiest things to spot in a player. Of pace is so vital to a Jones team, why did he agree to sign Ahadme? He also brings on Chuks who’s now even slower than Ahadme.
I wonder if we'd be challenging the playoffs, if we'd stuck with him, could still have a big part to play of course, but given what we'd seen of him so far, reckon we'd be in midtable if we'd persisted with him.

If we’d not used him at all and played more of Godden or whoever then who knows where we’d be

Poor old Ahadme, the only person that seems to like him is his Bank Manager.
People have said that before the season is out Chuks will pop up with a crucial goal but I’ve been saying this about Ahadme. Cometh the hour, cometh Ahadme.
He wasn't good enough, then again could say that about majority of the side back then, pretty much everyone was underperforming.
Maybe confidence hit him and being unable to recover. We've seen the difference with a confident Campbell this season, compared to before. While that is a different scenario as Campbell's loss of confidence was caused by a manager, I still have some hope left that Ahadme can offer something next season. Not willing to give up on him just yet.

I’d have Hylton, M’Bick and Kanu or Dixon on the bench on Saturday . We are screwed if Godden gets injured - that hasn’t changed with Chuks not being able to offer late cameos for 3 games .

Based on his league record this season there’s a 50:50 chance he’d score it in the wrong goal
It's been a breath of fresh air since he's not been in the team.
This is a perfect way of putting it, I feel agitated and nervous the moment I see him even warming up let alone named on the bench
I am very relieved Jones has now almost completely binned him and I think it’s highly unlikely he will play any role the rest of the season, the only scenario I can envisage is he is brought on if and when a game is already won as a mere experiment (and then if miraculously he pops up and does something he might get another bite)
I don’t rate Kanu hugely and have no view on mbick based on just 10 minutes at Cambridge but I would rather either came on, and I have much more belief kanu could do something he has already shown he’s capable of popping up with a goal and whilst ahadmes apparent strength is running around , I think Kanus running and pressing is 10x more effective
and Kanu has had at least 1 good game for us against Birmingham even though he missed an open goal, and that’s 1 good game more than ahadme has ever had and no worse than the open goal ahadme missed against Rotherham
He may have scored one more than Josh Parker but Josh actually contributed to play. With Gassan it’s like we have 10 men. If he gets another shot at the first team then he seriously needs to step up

Thanks for the memories.
