Jones was putting down a marker and letting Kone know he was there. Kone wasn’t in the game after that.

No idea of the point you're trying to make here, unless you're suggesting that players shouldn't try and put in tackles for fear of getting sent off?

As opposed to getting involved in physical shenanigans off the ball.

If Jones had been sent off say for a second offence in the match and the result less favourable we’d be blaming him for a silly early booking. 

My point is the guilt is with the referee for getting it wrong. 

Hugely different situations though - LJ going into a crunching tackle in first few minutes at 0-0 versus Chuks getting involved in a lengthy off the ball altercation at 4-0 with a few minutes left. 

So the risk of being sent off early in a must win game is less of an issue?

How anyone can claim to clearly see what happened with Chuks when to me in all the video footage it was inconclusive so they go with the on field decision .

Well NJ told us (I think) they did have clear evidence that he did not elbow a player and that was the reason for the sending off.

The conclusion should only be we as a team are the victims of a poor refereeing decision. 

Our manager after all expressed surprise the decision was not overturned.

Yeah Mbick couldn’t fill his role. I can see that he might be able to to in future but not yet. Also compare the mental difference for those CB’s in seeing an unproven 18yr old come on instead of Aneke. That said, there was one lovely bit of movement from Mbick to get in the box which is beyond Aneke now, if he’d gone half a second earlier he might have scored which would have been some moment

I would say that the vast majority of Addicks would say exactly the same and rightly so.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still not up to the required level but I don’t go into every match thinking he’ll get injured anymore and I think it’s worth acknowledging that
