Need a 14 goal swing to catch Luton. Not gonna happen unfortunately, but great achievement to get themselves back in contention.

Sky saying they still have a chance if staying up.

They'd have another point with a single clean sheet

So we can draw today and still catch Wrexham if they lose to Lincoln & we beat Burton. That would also need Wycombe v Stockport to end in a draw and we still gain promotion.

No... We're 4-pts behind Wrexham... We have to win

We can draw with Burton, but they have to lose against Lincoln

  • All 3 promoted teams from last season out of the Championship bottom 3
  • Burton have done it. Fair fucking play, nobody gave them a hope

I mean unless we do 'em 13-0. Which, idk. I say we go easy, keep it to 5
  • Hope Burton put it to bed in midweek though just to be sure.

Doesn't goal difference mean they're 99% safe though already? Crawley need to win their last game by a ton and hope Burton lose both of their last games by a ton too.

    Yup
  • We need Burton to get the point they need midweek, and then they can celebrate for the rest of the week...
  • I'm strangely pleased by the Stockport result.
Sounded like a bit of a grueller. Thought they were going to take their foot off for a clear bill of health for the playoffs.
Seems everyone that's going to be in the playoff places, and I Include us in that are all going to be slogging out to the wire.
Unless we lose today and us Wycombe and Stockport can all have a bit of a breather next week.

Helped by a few cases of dodgy champagne courtesy of CAFC

  • In league two, Doncaster and Port Vale are promoted.

Walsall's terrible run of form continued as they lost at home to Accrington to make it 13 without a win. Somehow however they still go into the last game with a chance of automatic promotion but they'd need to better Bradford's result which looks unlikely.

Johnnie Jackson's AFC Wimbledon have made life very difficult for themselves now, with just 1 win in 8. They go to 8th placed Grimsby on the last day knowing that if they lose and Salford win at relegated Carlisle, they will drop out of the play offs after being up there all season.

At the bottom Carlisle have been relegated for the second consecutive season, and Morecambe for the second time in 3 seasons.

     That's unbelievable
  • I would never have thought Walsall would have mucked up automatic promotion from the position they were in. I know they lost Nathan Lowe who was recalled by Stoke in Jan but that's a sensationally bad run of form.

Carlisle seems to be another set of American owners that don't really have a clue , sacked a club legend in Paul Simpson then got Mike Williamson from MK and backed him heavily, that didn't work so now they've ended up with Mark Hughes. Will be difficult to see them bouncing straight back.
  • The Walsall form is a potential disaster for Asiimwe. Don’t think we can fault anyone for the loan but I’m sure the idea was to send him to a positive environment where he could grow amongst the good atmosphere. Will have been character building anyway
