Perhaps the true fans are the ones that make that choice despite not being local. It takes a lot of effort to support a club from a distance that it doesn't take if you live around the corner. Ultimately though, if someone calls themselves a fan, that's good enough for me. It's not as if we attract any glory hunters is it.
I was actually joking because for most on here, Charlton are not the nearest club.

Not relevant. I only support Everton because my dad used to be a season ticket holder there. My reasons are a bit more valid than people who support Man U and Liverpool, plus I've always watched Charlton as well as my second favourite team.0 -
