2 reasonably poor goals to concede- we just haven’t got going.

trying to play smith and JRod off side numerous times was abysmal

can only see this being a ‘stop Wrexham getting promoted today’ rather than let’s get second

    players shell shocked

Anderson been a bit disappointing today, not really contributing. Not sure why Gilbert doesn't get more time, seems to come up with an assist or two whenever he has played

Struggling to get going mostly.  TC and Godden barely involved and unable to hold up the ball. Big battle in midfield and winning second balls not so easy against a good team.

I think Jones will switch it up we'll see Mbick on early so we can be more direct.  Whether that works I don't know.

This needs to be a lesson. You can't let the occasion get the better of you like this. It will be the same pressure in each of the three play off games so I hope they are at least learning from this

Ironically, if we do manage to pull this back and take all 3 points Wrexham will be in absolute bits next weekend.

I would like to see some Gilbert this half. Nothing against Karoy - I just think it’d be worth having a look at another option in a game against decent opposition.

I might be in the minority but I don’t think we’ve been that bad. Exposed as a third tier / lower second tier side maybe.

One shot from outside the area beats our back-up (because we never went into the season with a first choice) keeper and then one other really nice ball and nice finish makes it two.

Fine margins in football, and in that half we were on the wrong end of it.

We are finally getting a foothold in the game. Don’t think we have been two goals worse than them. If we’d have kept it to 1-0 for five minutes we’d have been ok but a shaky few minutes did for us. Reading back the thread can’t believe anyone blamed Mannion for either goal. Thought in each instance it was Ramsay dropping a bit deeper and playing them on. Get the next goal and they will get nervy and it’s game on. Concede the next and it’s game over.

They've had better quality in the final third.

TC looks a bit lost.   Godden one chance.

A game of fractions.  They've been better.
I think this is the crux of our issues. All of our attacking players at the moment look lost with seemingly zero link between them.

Maybe that's what Berry brings to our play? Because Coventry, Anderson and Docherty have offered very little.

Better 2nd part of half, but suspect that’s more Wrexham taking foot off pedal. Watson chance & not squaring to Godden best chance.

Anderson doing ok, but still missing Berry & missing Small - Charlton lacking balance & TC less effective on left.

Problem with Gilbert is he looks about 9 stone, easily shoved off the ball;I think Oztumer would tbh

Lloyd Jones needs to score a hat trick to get a six mark off of me, twice, trying to play off side, got away with the first one but they scored from the resultant corner, next one and Smith is unmarked to hook in. It has the look of a Peterborough/Rotherham performance as we have had plenty of play but have been shocking at the back.

Weird half. Unfortunately we let them decide how the game was going to go at the start and instead of taking the sting out of the game and quieting the crowd down, either through luck or skill they managed to take advantage of our early problem, which was Watson's deeper positioning having a knock on effect towards Ramsay's and meaning their forwards could make runs off the shoulder where we should have been playing them offside. We let most of the half go down our right where we have nothing but defenders when we should have forced the issue and pushed the ball out to our left. If we'd had Small today and not conceded those two goals as a result I think we'd be level and pretty optimistic going into the second half but as it is they punished us twice and we're in a bit of a pickle. Wrexham will love that they can spend the half sitting deep, absorbing pressure and looking for a goal on the counter, we've basically been Charltoned here

This is a massive test for our players going into the playoffs. Live on sky, full stadium, pressure of winning. Not looking like we can handle it atm

Think people are being a bit harsh.Wrexham are strong, physical and have worked so hard and given us no room to breath . I don’t think we are out of this game at 2-0, but we do need to take chances when they come.

Poor defending by Jones and Macca for the 2nd goal.

I’d say Anderson is doing okay, I don’t expect anything from Tennai but he came close bless.
    It’s TC that’s disappointing so far….
    Not stepping up..

Slowly but surely, we have been working our way back into this game. Massive efforts from Edwards, Doc and Coventry in particular. Get just one back and the champagne bubble might burst but it's going to need a fantastic effort given the ref is playing the homer part at the moment.

I'm signing off here until FT.
    You have history.

You said that you’d never post again in July when we sold Alfie May.

But weird to be attention seeking on a forum of middle aged men, no?

It's not Lloyd Jones you need to be looking at, it's Kayne Ramsay today. He's not been in line repeatedly and that's what has done for us

A classic Karoy performance, has a good subs cameo and then does fuck all when he starts

Gilbert on and Kanu early in the second half please.

Go to a back 4 and take off Anderson and Watson

    Ramsay Jones Gillesphey Edwards
    Docherty Coventry Gilbert
    Kanu Godden Campbell

We got nothing to lose right now

First goal is just really poor from us.
Second is poor, but that's a great finish. Most League One strikers don't put that away.

Mannion and AMB are possibly the worst goalkeeping duo in the top seven of this league. In my opinion.
