    FWIW based on today Mbick is nowhere near as ready as Kanu was last season. And Kanu has gone backwards this season (understandably)

    GK upgrade needed in the summer regardless of the league. Mannion has been a breath of fresh air but we need to keep stepping it up year on year.

    Makes you realise that Jones has worked something of a miracle here that we get to second to last game still with a sniff of autos. Because - the squad overall isn’t really good enough, we have maybe 13 or 14 good players but we have looked considerably weaker when key players are missing.

    If we had to miss out on the automatics, better to get the disappointment out of the way today. Get another match and a couple of weeks to get it out of the system and regroup for the playoffs. Need to hope we aren’t the walking wounded come the first semi final leg. Our first XI is good but take one of two players out and the backup is a real step down in quality.

    Some big overreactions on here. We've been Charltoned pure and simple, but by a team who just have a higher level, more experienced squad than us. They hardly ever concede at home, they capitalised on some errors we made and then sat back and invited us to do exactly what we did, which is lump the ball up at them so they can clear it. Exactly how we would have played this game if we were at home. We're missing two important players today, one absolutely key and we've felt it. It was only this same week we were battering the 3rd best team in the league 4-0 at their place, we've just been undone by a team who have lost 2 games at home all season. Hardly cause for some of the dramatics about Playoffs I've seen here today

    I’m sure there’s been many many worse days. But us losing 3-0 and palace winning a semi-final 3-0 really does sting.

    Two injuries and a Red card. The replacements are not upto scratch. We may have the numbers in the squad but the second string quality not good enough.

    Get our key men back fit and we’ll still have a good shot at promotion. Wrexham were the better team today but I don’t think it would have been the same game with Berry and Small out there.
