Begrudging Millwall going up . They would get pummelled every week in the Premier League and I want us to remain the only SE London club to win the cup.
Like trying to pick your favourite child but, for me, it has to be Palace. Once the Cup Final is over then Palace's win can be consigned to the memory bin and is something we achieved first and almost 80 years ago now anyway. Having both Millwall and Palace, week in week out, even if it is for just one season, associated with the PL with all the relevant coverage while we might still be in League 1 will be too much to take for me.
What a choice, it's like when Gary Neville was asked about Liverpool or Man City to win the league and he replied "it's like having a choice of two blokes to nick your wife".
For me it has to be Millwall. At least we'd get to see a season of them being beaten 3 or 4-0 most weeks, they'd be straight back down and then it'd be forgotten about. Palace winning a trophy would be there forever.
I'm afraid its a Palace win for me. Lets face it, they are an established Premier League club and they hate Brighton more than us. If they win, its just another Premier League club winning a cup.
Millwall, on the other hand, are our true rivals, born out of geography and often split within families. We can take some comfort that they have won nothing, have spent only two seasons in the top flight, and are generally a much smaller club. It's important that we remain the top club in (real) South London.
It's one thing us not being in the Championship but it's a another big thing Millwall being in the Premier League. I mean, not only can we not beat them when we play them but it would mean them playing Liverpool, Man U etc every week whilst we are playing Burton & Mansfield.
Also.....I don't get the hate for Palace. They are not our rivals.
Who do you want to babysit your kids? Fred or Rose?
I know a lot more Millwall fans so it’s palace winning the cup for me.
unless there’s a guarantee that if Millwall go up, the fans cause so much havoc that the premier league withhold all payments and immediately relegate them and the EFL refuse to accept them back in the football league pyramid.
Why are people worrying about this, Millwall won’t make let alone win the play offs and Man City will win the cup.
Before anyone says that not an acceptable answer the other option is Millwall get promoted and Palace win the Cup which isn’t offered.
We can’t influence it and I am more worried about us getting promoted rather than what they do.
I detest both, but then as my Arsenal supporting mate says ‘you and your brother don’t like anyone that isn’t Charlton’
FWIW from a personal perspective Millwall being promoted would be the worst outcome as Wife’s family support them and it’s bad enough every time they beat us.
I hate Palace more than most but the FA Cup has lost a lot of relevance in recent seasons. I could forget about that within a few weeks. Millwall being up would be in our face week in week out for the entire season.
Palace are already lightyears ahead of where we are as a club these days. Can't let the unthinkable happen if Millwall make it to the big money promised land and they disappear from reach too.

You'll never guess what my parents' names were? Yes, it's true.
Even though I hate Palace a lot more, I'd go them to win cup.
While it would be funny to see Millwall be slaughtered every week, the thought of them getting Premier League money (even for one season) and parachute payments is horrendous.
Palace - their misguided sense of relevance is already through the roof, not sure they could take that up a level with a cup win? There might be some comedy moments in the Europa League with the plastic ultras showing off to real ones.

I doubt their Mum's would let them go that far, school the next day.
Millwall would come straight back down, much like Blackpool, Barnsley and Luton did, more quickly than Bradford and Huddersfield did, with no real legacy. It would be as forgettable as their last stint in the top flight
Quite shocked some of you would take Palace winning a major trophy and getting to play against the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Ajax, Rangers, Porto etc.
Anyway, Millwall aren't going up. I don't think they're even getting in the play offs. Quite confident about that. Shit scared about Palace. They have a real chance.

How are Palace light years ahead of Charlton ? Of the two stadiums I’d say that The Valley is light years ahead of Selhurst with its wooden stand on one side (how is that still getting a safety certificate ?) and naff AW stand opposite.
Their players are probably light years ahead than ours but that’s because of the PL money paying the ‘PL wages’.That’s temporary, as it is for every PL team outside the ‘top 6’ clubs.
Is their support base any bigger or better than ours ? I doubt it. Most of their ‘support’ is temporary and will likely only be there because it’s the PL.

Palace winning the FA Cup is just unthinkable

What a dilemma.
