Saw A Minecraft Movie (because the offspring really wanted to).
It's exactly what you think it's going to be, a completely bog standard "protagonists travel into video game world" porridge with Jack Black playing Jack Black as he always does.
Not offensively bad but not worth it for anyone older than about 13 honestly.
Never been a big Dylan fan but really enjoyed, A Complete Unknown. Didn’t realise it was a line out of, Like A Rolling Stone?
Did come away thinking that he wasn’t a very nice guy, not sure why, and Joan Baez was a bit of a goer;)
I also came away thinking I need to check out his back catalogue, currently listening to, Highway 61 Revisited and enjoying.

Example, Tonight Show 10th anniversary show in 1992. In rehearsals, he sang a pitch perfect version of 'Like and rolling stone'. Fuck, I switched off after about 30seconds, bloody awful! Even the backing singers were giving him the look.
Mind, maybe he's still out for revenge when he was pelted for going electric at the Newport Folk Festival.
I've only seen him live the once about 10 years ago at Brixton Academy, I think, I wont be hurrying back if he tours again. That night was bloody awful too!

Absolutely not true. His last gigs in London - at the Palladium in 2022 and at Royal Albert Hall in 2024 were intense and often beautiful. He was singing with care.
Warfare - one of the best war films in many years. Intense, claustrophobic and absorbing.
Sinners - One of the films of the decade. Some slight Dusk til Dawn vibes but that aside it is very original, incredibly ambitious, a bit madcap but overall a resounding success with one scene in particular pushing it to impressive heights of imagination. A film that deserves to be watched on the big screen and sure to become a classic of the genre.
It was decent. A lot of it down to Geoff Bell, Danny Dyer and Stephanie Leonadis. Before anyone gets pissy, its a film by Nick Love starring Danny Dyer it isn't taking itself overly seriously and does a good job at observing and being scathing about societal stereotypes. It won't win any awards, I laughed at several points unprompted and the heart it found, yeah it was a bit cod and the set pieces could be pulled apart if you are unable to completely suspend disbelief but its a good film, doesn't waste any scenes.
I am now braced for all the gak heads in my local to start referring to dickie.
We will all recognise characters from the story or even recognise little bits of ourselves. Hopefully nobody fully recognises themselves portrayed!
Good British film, good story, not perfect and I wasn't expecting it to give me profound thoughts, I wanted to be entertained and it absolutely did that
Thunderbolts - very very much enjoyed this. Florence Pugh ran the show and proved she is just as bad ass or more than he elder and late Black Widow sister. The introduction of the newbie ‘Bob’ was gripping and well acted by Lewis Pullman.
Quite a lot of well timed humour / smile on face rather than PMSL mind.
Would watch again which is a good barometer as haven’t rewatched any Marvel movie twice since the Avengers finals. 8/10
