No idea mate.5

My guess would be according to Charlie’s CV and PR ‘yes’ but according to the financial accounts ‘No’ 😉😆
On a serious note they can’t be measured only by ‘cash’ value but really only on fans feedback ie happy customers come back again.I suppose the issue will become that if we get more successful will the space used become more of a hindrance with greater attendances generally ?1 -
Well it gets our vote. Nice to soak up a few rays with a pint pre match and watch the game on the big screen. Nice atmosphere too.19

100% a success!
fans now getting to The Valley up to 2 hrs earlier, and spending ££ on club merch/drinks/food as well as getting a better fan experience. If there was scope to have it open more after game, especially in summer- it would be heaving after too13 -
It's always busy, cant gauge success any other way really.4

If it is making a profit, any chance they can use it to repair some of the pot holes in the car park?0
-
or make them a water feature so we can relax with a beer and feed the fish ?Mendonca In Asdas said:If it is making a profit, any chance they can use it to repair some of the pot holes in the car park?5 -
Five a side tussle cage gone to provide more drinking space so suggests demamd is there. Whether that means profit no idea.0
-
Think the weather in general has been favourable0
-
From a dad point of view my boy loved coming down to play in the tussle cage whilst I had a beer. Now that’s gone and the kids stuff is crap we are now back in the bugle or the rose if we make it down early enough.0

I know the folks from Chicken George had a chat last week with the board about renewing for next season, hopefully they'll be back with the Fan Zone as it's been a great idea (and I utterly love their chicken!)6

Noticed there was a posh new van yesterday!Linda McCartney right next to Chicken George was a funny sight0

Is that vegetarian food outlet, when I had a look in there where ques for chicken George and the regular burger bar but one person at the vegetarian one. Not many vegans amongst football fans.0 -
would have been handy if there had been a heads up in advance, I would have given it a go.1
-
Had a chat with the guy behind the jump yesterday, he said it’s down to his boss but he doesn’t know what’s going to happen as apparently we (the club) haven’t decided which way to go next season, but he loves it at the Valley and wants to return.Sheepie1985 said:I know the folks from Chicken George had a chat last week with the board about renewing for next season, hopefully they'll be back with the Fan Zone as it's been a great idea (and I utterly love their chicken!)

If it had been Paul McCartney he could have sung Valley Floyd Road for us.19addickted96 said:Noticed there was a posh new van yesterday!Linda McCartney right next to Chicken George was a funny sight2 -
I would like to know how many car park places we have lost and at what cost…..parking costs are very high, more than a season ticket in some instances.
We need to offset those losses against the takings for starters before we can work out the final figures.7 -

yep - and we have a lot of older fans who are now struggling to get to games - fan zone is good but somewhere that the old uns could park or even some sort of shuttle scheme so they don't have to walk up and down the hills that surround the ground might be something worth thinking about - a shuttle from charlton lido wouldn't be a bad idea - like when you leave your car at a car park in a field at gatwickSoundAsa£ said:I would like to know how many car park places we have lost and at what cost…..parking costs are very high, more than a season ticket in some instances.

I did hear a rumour Saturday that the club are thinking of ways to remove car parking spaces at the valley to expand the fan zone, including bussing the players in from sparrows lane I assume.
Cant see that flying1 -
I doubt there are many, if any, other London clubs with a car park, well not one without a Sainsbury’s I guess, so they must be bussing their players in from their training grounds.DA9 said:I did hear a rumour Saturday that the club are thinking of ways to remove car parking spaces at the valley to expand the fan zone, including bussing the players in from sparrows lane I assume.

I'm surprised we don't bus players in already to be honest. I see that the coach used for away games in now wrapped in CAFC design so wouldn't be surprised if it gets used for home fixtures too2
