Enslin taking over free kick duty from Bower then, and Rylah on penalties with Casey and Kedwell not involved.

Coventry at home this time next week looks like our final game. Is the top 2 now impossible? And how many do we need to score to get 100 goals?

    Cherries  P 30 Pts 64
    Bees        P 30 Pts 64
    Spanners P 30 Pts 63
    Addicks   P 30 Pts 58
    Tractors  P 30 Pts 44

We've now scored 88 goals, the most in the division and let in 44.

Bournemouth have scored less (83) and conceded more (47) but are top.  Golfie can explain that.

Dixon’s two goals and the penalty he won here. Some nice work for all 3

Superb 2nd by Dixon. Pretty sure he is now over 6ft. A summer of weights and he is a shoe-in as Small s replacement.  He used to come in from the right for Arnett Gardens, so will compliment TC.

But I wish NJ would swop wingers for 5/10 minutes a couple of times a game, to wrong foot defenders.

Perhaps because of the various trialists we'll field.

    There were two v Peterborough.

But if it is streamed then we'll see them anyway.

Or save a few bob on stewarding?

Must be to save costs. If it was any secret squirrel stuff it wouldn't be televised

If it is anything like the previous u21 game at 'The Valley' when the Wycombe/ Wrexham tickets were on restricted sale, plus having to get a ticket to enter the u21 game it was quite chaotic for the ticket office, so perhaps play-off tickets will be on sale & the club are trying to make it easier for the staff.

Think this is it, given season tickets won’t be available at the ticket office either

I know that but as a Valley Gold member I could have watched the game free at Princes Park (and usually at The Valley).

YouTube would have been free too.

Millwall and Bournemouth both won yesterday so Bournemouth are top and Spanners 2nd but third place Brentford have a game still to play.

If they win they will take one of the top two spots.

We have finished 4th. Disappointing given we are usually top two but it was a disrupted season with the main two strikers, Casey and M'bick out injured and many other U21s in the first team squad.

A lot of U18s got experience in the U21s which is one of the points of a development squad.

I thought we usually got top two in the U18s?

U21s I don't recall us finishing top two for a while, as its an Age Group thats disrupted with players going up to the First Team or out on Loan

    Edit: 1st - 6th - 7th - 1st - 1st - 2nd - 4th - 4th - 5th - 4th - 8th - 8th is our U21 record, with 2017/18 being the last time we got into the Play-Offs in the Professional Development League, 4th is definitely an improvement and a return to normality given the last two seasons.

A lot of players were released from the academy at the end of last season.

I understand quite a few are going at the end of this reason.

NJ wants next season's under 21s to be the reserves for the first team.

What exactly does he mean by that? Not keeping on players who won’t realistically make it in the first team?

    Squad for those interested

    Keepers
    Maclorg
    Reid

    Defenders
    Bower
    Gough
    Hunter
    Hobden
    Laqueretabua
    Toure

    Midfielders
    Enslin
    Henry
    Huke
    Kedwell
    Rylah

    Forwards
    Casey
    M'Bick

Reid, Enslin, Laqueretabua and M'bick will clearly all stay given they are edge of first team and in contract.
