We can kiss goodbye to promotion if Brewers in goal. Pray for Mannion
Think it's more about getting AMB some minutes and match sharpness post injury just incase he's needed in the playoffs. Doubt there is anything untoward with Mannion.
Why take such a risk? That team's just asking for trouble.
I agree. An injury or suspension to either TC or Godden could kill us.
I count 7 crucial first teamers in that line up. I think we'd be screwed in any of them went down.
Can't go 100% risk free. There will have been conversations with the medical team, there's a week to the first leg. For some it'll be better to play them and keep their match sharpness and the only risk of injury will be a freak injury that could happen in training.
My dad's come down to this game today and he made a wonderful suggestion re the play-offs.
We're in the play-offs and so are Sunderland (albeit ours is Div 3, theirs is Div 2). If (when) the Black Cats lose in the semi or the final can we then play them in another play-off final, for old time's sake, with the winner taking the Div 2 spot?
Line up is a good compromise i m o .. a back four, experimental midfield and regular attack
It’s still a back 5. Watson and Edwards WBs with Ramsay, Mitchell, Gillesphey CBs
It's not a straightforward back 3 or 5 system though, as otherwise you'd have a left winger in TC playing ahead of a left wingback in Edwards.
It is, you can have wingers in front of a back 3 just like in a 343. Ours is often more hybrid because of Small but Watson doesn’t offer that. My point was more that it isn’t a back 4 than anything else

It's the lopsided back 5 we've been playing for the 2nd half of the season. Or even more. Watson in the Small role on the right as the more advanced wing back. Edwards slotting in at fullback when needed. TC up front but pulling out wide on the left at times

Edwards plays like a conventional left back, whereas Small on the right has a license to attack, just as TC on the left

The number of times he's gone down crook in matches over the last couple of months and requiring treatment he's obviously in need of a rest ...
😉
Don't play the players with injury issues, but play a strong team to finish the season well and take winning momentum into the playoffs.
You can't rest players "just in case" as injuries also happen in training.
I'm pleased Mitchell has got the nod over McIntyre, a more natural replacement.
😉
They're playing their formation dancing XI today.
Or practicing their tackling.

Gives us two bites at the cherry ...
More people in seats than is normally the case 20 mins before kick off.
