I always try to give constructive criticism and say what I see. Until last Saturday I hadn't seen the skill on the ball with a good 1st touch so I was slightly amazed when he did the fancy footwork and skill and a lovely cross for Fullah who unfortunately hit the the crossbar which I felt gutted for Karoy who didn't get an excellent assist. He fitted like a glove when replacing Berry for 65 minutes against Wycombe in the team's A* performance.
I read that he was skilful in the U18's + U21's but the majority of times I watch him live or on Sky plus, his control of the ball leaves a lot to be desired so it's difficult to be totally positive.
I accept he is still learning the demands of the midfield role in the competitive 3rd tier plus Nathan rates him and possibly as Anderson is still only 20 1/2 years old with confidence and experience he will improve.
Unlike his buddy TC, Karoy seems comfortable doing interviews; wish him well and his all round game can have an upward trajectory.
I think Karoy does a great job from the bench but quite possibly as has been suggested by others, his ideal position is Doc's position. If we cast our minds back to Huddersfield at home, Doc was away due to his wife giving birth and Anderson was terrific.
We also saw later that he can't fill in for TC and central midfield is his position as it stands now. We have to rememeber his young age. Personally I think the sky is the limit for the lad and don't quite understand how a few others can't see it. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so.

Nearly every young player goes through the early stage of showing potential but not being consistent. People see the poor performances and write them off

I was very surprised by that Neymar-esque turn, but shows he's got a bit more to him than what I described.

Russell Slade taught us to stand with our hands in our pockets -improved the menu at the players Canteen at Sparrows lane - Insisted that players under contract that were injured were monitored during the summer- and be patient !
Big Russell is/was better behind the scenes than being a manager as well as being the polar opposite to manic finger bitting Welsh religious Nathan in the technical area on match days. NJ definitely looks more interested 😀
Karoy is not far short of being a terrific player. But it amazes me that someone, so obviously talented, so often cannot play a simple 10 yard pass effectively, either hitting it too hard, or behind the man etc. I'm sure it must be down to a lack of composure or concentration, but it's something that he needs to iron out in his game.
So far, he has had most of his best games off the bench. That's not really surprising though, got to remember he's only 20 years old and playing in the hardest position on the pitch (centre midfield), as well as alternating between being played as an "8' or a "10".
For me, he's got bags of talent - great energy, gets the tackles in, presses well and gets the turnovers and he is - don't laugh - a good passer of the ball. What he lacks now is consistency, mainly in terms of his first touch and weight of pass.
Karoy has all the physical skills to be a championship level box to box midfielder with one major glaring flaw as has been discussed on here ad nauseum (ball control) which causes him to look like league two quality at times. He will never be an attacking mid as he doesn’t have the creativity. The key to his development is can he learn to better in that dimension of his game.. so far he hasn’t shown any progress in that regard but in theory you would hope with more experience, it will connect for him. He is hard to project. I could see him playing in the championship in a few years but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was playing non league either

Not sure about that. He can get forward and has scored a few goals. Very versatile young player.
