What would you prefer? Palace to win the Cup or Millwall to go up

  • I would prefer Palace to lose in the final, Millwall not to get promoted and us to win the play offs.

Millwall to go up. It's nothing that hasn't happened before.

We have true honours in our history. Only us in South London.

Give us a Blue Moon for one day - please!
South east London - Wimbledon in south London
A club that no longer plays in South London.
SE and SW postcodes, growing up in SE London ive never said I come from South London or anyone else from round here either., always say South East London.

Palace saying South London and proud to me just shows they even more of a Surrey club and don’t have a clue. Manufactured shit club

I agree. I’ve always thought of myself as a Sarfeast Lunnoner and not just south of the Thames.
  • South east London is a totally different world to south west London. We have more in common with the east end.

For me, southeast London is Elephant & Castle, Bermondsey, Walworth, Deptford, Peckham, Maze Hill, Charlton, Woolwich, etc. etc. Inner-city neighbourhoods.

South London conjures up sprawling Greater London suburbia, such as Thornton Heath, Purley, Norbury, Norwood etc. etc.

So, sure, Crystal Palace are the pride of south London.
  • It’s a river, docks and factories thing - or was

millwall are from the east end , fucking northerners coming south of the river fuck off back home
Only professional club to play in the East End, to boot. My great grandad was a docker & Millwall fan. He worked at Surrey Commercial Docks. They (Millwall) moved to be nearer the larger dockers communities around the SCDs, as they were already established as being the ‘dockers team’ by that point. So they’d probably see themselves as a docklands club, rather than north or south London, well certainly in the past they would have. I know my great grandad did, as he thought in terms of all the London waterways.

Yes that’s right. In recent times west ham have made up a myth about Millwall docks south of the river being scabs during the general strike and the West Ham docks north of the river holding out. They claim that’s where the rivalry started.  Total bollocks (and a rehashed version of a similar myth Portsmouth say about Southampton). Truth is, if you read a bit of history, all the docks held out during the general strike and anyway, during the time of the general strike there would have been a big presence of Millwall fans in the docks on both sides of the water.

  • Millwall to go up. They’ll only come straight back down again. Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup would mean they’ve actually finally won a major trophy, so would move up to our level. I don’t care what league they’re in - as of now they haven’t won anything..
  • Man city looked a bit fragile at the back tonight vs wolves based on the highlights I saw. Especially when they press high up. Often outpaced and outnumbered quickly against a shit team like wolves.

I'm pretty sure they will turn up for the fa cup final and will be desperate to win it. It probably helps that they lost the final last year and will want to rectify that failure - but it's likely palace will score at least one goal.
  • Come on Burnley :)
  • Thats Millwall done, just City to win next!
  • I would rather slide down a rusty razor blade using my balls as brakes.
I can take one of my balls of the razor blade now, not needed.

I just think they've dropped the 'of' between 'south' and 'London'.
  • Dodged a bullet….just one more to go

  • Man City by their usual recent standards have been crapolla this season.

However they will forever be placed on a pedestal in my mind if they put at least 6 or 7 past Palarse.

I’ll settle for just one more than 1861 score.

  • Now that Millwall can't go up, what would you rather happen?

    1. Palace to win the FA cup
    2. Slide down a rusty razor blade using your balls as brakes.
If it’s a rusty blade, I’ll choose Palace.

May as well chuck Sutton United in as well
  • I do think the rise in number of Palace fans is a concern.  Ideal scenario is for them to gallantly lose the final and for Glasner to be snapped up.  I do think they could be closer to relegation if that happened .  I also don’t think Burnley and Leeds will be as bad as the promoted sides have been this year .

It will be interesting to see how Burnley do with their defensive abilities.

Hopefully City get an early goal and are 3-0 up in the first half.

    Why only three?
  • I can't find a rusty razor blade. Will a rusty knife do?
