  • Apologies if already asked/answered, anyone know anywhere to park up to 20 mins walk from the ground?

There are plenty of side roads within a 15 min walk to the ground. Some are up a hill so not always the best if you struggle with mobility.

The match we played there are the start of one season (when Sandgaard walked over to the fans before kick off) I used JustPark as there are a few residents around there hiring their drives out for the afternoon. Paid £6 for less than a 10 min walk.
thanks. Even with a capacity of only 10.5k I was anticipating streets nearby being subject to parking restrictions 'on match days' - that annoying catch-all that even includes a rare Sunday match
  • Back of the net.
Just got 2 & it took 2 minutes.
    I bought on iphone/safari
(but also logged in on laptop/chrome without issues before 11am & logged out before 11am in case 2 log ins caused a problem).

If you walk 15 minutes away from most grounds you can usually find street parking.
  • 2 booked off my phone. Laptop froze!
  • I’ve booked through just park on Bookerhill Road same place as I did for the league game

Got there early last time and the lady in the house just parked her car up the road so pretty sure it’s safe to not pre book

    Superstitious moi 😂
  • I totally agree with the weight given to Valley Gold in terms of points/priority for ticket sales - it's not overvalued IMO.

However, I would like to see ST loyalty given more value/points, I've had a ST for 30+ consecutive seasons... but as I don't get to as many away games as I used to, I'm in phase 7(!) for the 1st leg so no chance of a ticket. My Dad has had a ST for 40+ seasons through thick and thin, inc. Selhurst Upton Park days, contributed to the Back to the Valley fund etc, but is also only in phase 7. Yet if I was a ST holder for the first time this season and signed up to Valley Gold, I'd straight away be way ahead of him on points.

It'd be nice to have a chunk of points given for every 5 or 10 years consecutive ST renewal, given that ST sales are the foundation of the clubs support in terms of commitment/funds. It would also encourage those who have had an ST for a few years to keep renewing, it'll they knew that their loyalty would be rewarded once they hit a certain milestone.
And I think people who go by se9addick online should get 1,000 bonus points a season…
  • I recall the one season membership scheme attached with it an additional 25 points
  • Has the club got records going back say 20 years?

    Great post.
I'd also like more points given to fans who have had their season tickets for decades.
Only rewarding the last two seasons is fine.
But how about an extra say 50 points for every 10 seasons you have had a season ticket.

Surely someone who has been a season ticket holder for say 30 or 40 years deserves more points than someone who has had a season ticket for two years.
I'm guessing, but I doubt that the club would know that I've been a continuous S/T holder since 1972 and from the club's point of view it would make it more complicated.
The answer is to join VG.

They need a psychiatrist, not extra points !
    Genuine lol there mate

The maximum points total is probably 1010 points, a season ticket for the last 2 years & attended every league & cup game, that's my total points so far & i won't be the only person who has done that.
I'm also a Valley Gold member.

  • if anyone has spares please give me a shout - I am after 2

Away tickets should go to the people that go to the away games, not people who have been going to home games for longer
Yes, totally agree that those going to away games should still have the highest priority for away tickets when they go on sale. My point was more that currently, 1 month of Valley Gold counts more than 40+ seasons as a ST holder.
  • Has the club got records going back say 20 years?
Yes judging by some of the music played on a matchday 😂
    I'll tell him that !

Some absolutely insane suggestions here for the loyalty scheme.
    Never fails to amaze me.

People suggesting amendments to a scheme that has worked perfectly well for years to suit their needs for the 1 or 2 away games they go to a season.

Valley Gold too, away ticket priority has been a well known benefit since Jesus was in nappies and yet people still can't wrap their head around it.

Yes, people with VG should have priority, because it is a benefit that they pay £120 for. It's £10 a month, just join if it bothers you that much.
what about the people who pay £10 every away game for Charlton TV and there VPN costs
  • See below for the parking and travel details for the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final first leg against Charlton Athletic on Sunday 11th May (k.o. 6.30pm).

    Parking

    Adams Park

There are places available to book online in the upper car park at Adams Park from 10am on Wednesday 7th May - head to tickets.wwfc.com.

Spaces must be pre-booked so please do not drive to the gates unless you have booked a pass.

Seasonal car park passes are not valid for this fixture; pass holders have been contacted with the opportunity to purchase a space.

If you have booked a blue badge/accessible parking bay, you must arrive prior to 5.30pm to ensure you have access to your space.

    Millbrook School

There will be 120 parking spaces available to book from 10am on Wednesday 7th May by heading to tickets.wwfc.com, with none available to buy on the day of the game.

The school - on Mill End Road - is one mile from the stadium, walkable in under 20 minutes (postcode HP12 4BA). Spaces are priced at £5 for vehicle.

    Parking on local streets

Parking restrictions and traffic wardens will be in operation on the streets in the local vicinity to the stadium; please park sensibly and ensure you are not blocking access for emergency vehicles or residents.

A number of independent car parks are in operation along the approach to the stadium.

    Bus service

The WW1 matchday bus service – provided by Carousel Buses - will be in operation with two buses running for this fixture.

Departing the rail station at 3pm, 4.50pm and 5.40pm, the service will arrive at the bus station five minutes later, and drop off at Hillbottom Road at 3.17pm, 5.07pm and 5.57pm.

The return journeys will leave Adams Park at 8.25pm, 9.05pm and 9.45pm, giving fans the chance to stay behind for a post-match drink before heading back to the town.

A return fare of £4 will be charged.

You can view the timetable online at carouselbuses.co.uk, and track the bus's live route via their app (App Store and Google Play).

Local Carousel buses on route 32/32A will also be in operation. Buses drop off at The Hour Glass Pub. Please check your journey before you travel.

Which, completely coincidentally, if enacted would result in the suggested getting bumped up the priority list!

    What about them?

Unless it clearly states that away ticket priority is a benefit of purchasing the stream for every away game, why would they get away ticket priority? I seriously hope you're not suggesting that people watching from their armchair get points for buying a stream.

What about the people that bought a beer when they watch it in the pub?
What about the people that bought their child a teddy bear in the club shop?
What about the people who got a Chicken George in the fanzone?
What about the people that bought a jackpot ticket and a programme every home game?

Sod it, put everyone in phase 1.

You can watch it on sky TV if you like, so exactly the same as usual but a different Channel. Or are we now saying those subscribers retrospectively want points too ?.
  • Are we betting the away allocation sells out on phase 5 which goes on sale in an hour?
