Kyrell, 11 goals in the NL this season. A classic Pboro punt
  • Was that the one who scored against us for CVPM?

And they'll sell him next season for £5m.

    ...to us!
  • Was that the one who scored against us for CVPM?
    Yes.
  • Everyone’s favourite rumour source FLW says Preston, Blackburn, Millwall, Derby and Oxford are interested in Thierry Small.
  • I wonder if Charlie Barker will be on our radar?

I thought he played really well in both games, seemed fairly comfortable on the ball, won Crawleys player of the season.

Always worth looking at the relegated sides best players imo. We were close to the drop zone last season and two of ours that left have won promotion and a fair few may still.

Josh Stokes at Cambridge, 20 years old and managed 7 goals and 2 assists in a poor side.

I've really liked the look of Liam Bennett everytime we play them as well. He's always against a tough winger (last season CBT, this season TC) and he really holds his own, great crosser.
Just bringing this back as Cambridge have published their released/retained list and Bennett is in negotiations over new deal, think he could do better than playing for them in L2

He’d be a decent pickup for most league 1 sides, but I doubt we’d be interested even if we stay down. He just isn’t the physical profile that we will be looking for

Agree really, he’s Tennai Watson style for me. Would be a good pickup for someone like Lincoln

Kwame Poku, Ricky-Jade Jones and Hector Kyprianou all out of contract and leaving Peterborough, though they will get compensation for the first two as they came through their academy. Not like Peterborough to lose players this way, as they're usually very good at selling them at the right time.

Interesting that Jed Steer has been released from his contract for personal reasons, as it's not as if Peterborough is the other end of the country from either where he's from (Norwich) or where he was for a long time (Birmingham).
Probably geography rules us out , but Steer would be exactly the sort of Keeper we need . As well as his loan spell with us , he played under Jones at Luton.
  • Following players released by Norwich:
    • Angus Gunn
    • Onel Hernández
    • Jacob Sørensen
    • Jonathan Tomkinson
    • Archie Mair
    And by Stoke:
    • Jordan Thompson
    • Lynden Gooch
    • Michael Rose
    • Enda Stevens
    Other Championship clubs TBA

Recon most of those stoke players go to Wrexham
    The Fairytale continues
  • Poku to Birmingham feels logical, would add to their attacking threat
  • Josh Koroma anyone?

Gunn has played lots of championship football this season. I suspect he has let his contract run out as he has a good move lined up
Seems like it he didn't have much choice in it going by this, do think he goes elsewhere in the champ but i'd like to hope we be at least considering it Norwich City: I wasn't given a reason for being released - Angus Gunn - BBC Sport
Gunns salary at Norwich would have been a world away from what we can afford IMHO

Wages go up and down in the crazy world of football and if Gunn drops down a division then you have a wage which is consummate with that level unless you are at Wrexham or Birmingham and your name was Mullins when he dropped two divisions or Stansfield when he dropped two divisions.

    Always exceptions to every norm.

  • Josh Koroma anyone?
    I think he’s awful personally

Not a rumour but we’ve lost 4 hours of the window as it will now slam shut at 7pm
At least I won't be at my computer at midnight hoping that our final signing's deal sheet was submitted at 10:59pm and that the announcement is imminent...

Knowing Charlton, we'll sign Salah and Donnarumma, but not submit the sheet until 10:59pm, thinking the deadline was still 11pm...
Or we will get the paperwork done on time and we actually signed Sarah and Donna.

I actually think it’s a good move, stops people like media teams having to wait around for ages and doesn’t make a difference in the grand scheme of things
Exactly, if you have left things so late that the loss of 4 hours completely ruins your plans then that's probably just bad planning on your part.
  • But what will Sky do to milk those last four hours of an evening? Think of the corporations!

The problem is that so many deals rely on other deals happening first, so there's a whole chain of events that get pushed back to the end, whatever the cutoff time.

Preston and Bristol City are both chasing player A from Ipswich

If Preston sign A, then we can sign player B from them, but if Bristol sign A, then Preston will keep B

If we sign B, then we will loan player C to Lincoln

If we don't sign B, then we will try and sign player D from Oxford

If we sign D, the Oxford will try and sign player E on loan from Sunderland

If we sign neither B or D, we will keep player C

    etc

The important bit is "Whatever the cut off time" - if that's 7 or 11 or any time in between, it will still go the same way. So the earlier ending is perfectly fine.
