Just don't let it go to penalties...🙏
i sickly wouldn't mind that , I just love the pure filth, vileness, body popping , throw up, madness of them , I'd prolly back myself over half our players and my legs are pretty fucked but it's all about holding your nerve
although I don't fancy our keepers getting anywhere near any of them and you know Norris will be giving the covered end plenty once he's saved some
    You Masochist oohaahmortimer...🤦‍♂️

I actually reckon we would have decent penalty takers in Godden, Coventry, Doc, Jones, Edwards, Gillesphey so wouldn't be too worried by that.  Keeper wise however is a different matter, couldn't see them saving any.
  • Doesn’t AMB have quite a good penalty saving record?
  • Doesn’t AMB have quite a good penalty saving record?

Not according to this - but I guess that does not include penalty shoot out penalties? Because he defo did against Brighton right?

Should have used the playoff semi as a perfect game to test run the away fans in the West Stand. Give them 2k tickets at the end of it and put us all in the Jimmy Seed
I would also make sure the speakers in the Jimmy Seed are at full blast as well when the Wycombe players come out to warm up, return there little trick which didn’t go unnoticed yesterday.
Addicks to Victory on a loop for an hour before the game
I’m all for intimidation, but I draw the line at crimes against humanity.
Personally I get tired of the Sandgaard bashing.
He was an extrovert guy with good intentions, out to have his bit of fun, and why not? Life is for the living and if I had loads of dosh and could play guitar, I’d do exactly same thing (except I’d consult with fans to write the songs)

The only thing that counts is that he saved the club. Without he, we’d be lucky to be in this year's National League play-offs. He should be a guest of honour, not ridiculed.

I agree about saving the club totally and I don’t get why most don’t recognise that fact. However looking at how his wealth has contracted recently I suspect he regrets the money he spent on us
  • Doesn’t AMB have quite a good penalty saving record?
Nope... Faced 17-penalties (during matches) and failed to save any... He did save our last penalty in an actual shootout though against Brighton

Mannion has faced 17-penalties as well, but he's saved one... When he was at Cambridge.

Shootouts are always different to a typical penalty though, so much more riding on the outcome so there is always going to
  • 34 penalties between our 2 keepers & 2 saved
(17 each with one save each)

    = 5.88%  :/

The average is between 10-20 % (depending on which league you look out).

Our goalkeepers should be practising these every day in training. Each outfield player can take 10 penalties against each of them every day. Keep a record of the score and keep/ get the winner on the pitch at 115 minutes.

Otherwise my prediction, weeks before the play offs started, of having a penalty shoot out against Stockport will become a living nightmare.

  • A big positive will be Small starting. Watson tries but doesn't give us much and he is prone to errors.
I don't think Small will even make the bench. I was in the front row of the stands, close to the right wing position Small was playing when came on. He held his thigh after the first contact and continued to do so throughout the game. He also failed to chase a through ball from Ramsey and explained through gestures that he couldn't sprint after the ball. Hope I am wrong.

Lets not forget they have best away record other than Brum, and believe they have scored more away goals than anyone

Just hope the non red cards don't come to bite us on the arse
The kites were as always a sight to behold…..absolutely amazing.
Found myself enjoying their hypnotic acrobatics more than the game…..from time to time.

The kites spent most of the evening playing dodge the ball

    1. Good intentions - Have a chat to the staff that either left or remained whilst at the club about his good intentions.
    2. To sit with Jacko and his wife at the POTY event, get on a plane and sack Jacko via a Zoom call 24 hours later.
    3. He bought the club and PAID Nimer and Southall £1.5m, there is a significant difference to buying and saving the club.  He also entered us into a short term lease with RD which is still hanging over us.
    4. Guest of Honour - Total insult to so many club servants, for someone who loved telling us what he was watching when he owned us, how many games has he watched live or via a stream since leaving us?
This post started off as a humerus idea of playing loud music in the JS stand, and all of a sudden it's morphed into a Sandgaard bashing/praising argument...🤦‍♂️

Neither keeper is good at saving penalties it would almost call for us not playing the keepers during the shoot outs.

  •  for those watching at home be grateful you were not there and thank your lucky stars your ear drums missed out on the 1986 MegaDeath album we were subjected to at half time.

The most bizarre show of half time music ever played, particularly given setting and fanbase. My ears are still badly ringing this morning.

    Bizarre place Wycombe.
Surely they played that dross at maximum volume on purpose to stop us singing?
They played maximum volume music prior to KO as well and turned it off as KO was being taken.

Will Norris out of the Goalkeepers from the four teams is surprisingly the one with the best record.

He's saved seven out of 24-penalties that he's faced,

Josh Keeley (Orient) is another who hasn't saved a penalty yet, having faced 12 in his career so far

Corey Addai (Stockport) has saved one penalty, whilst he's conceded 11.

So if it comes down to a Penalty shootout at any stage... Who da f**k knows what'll happen... Its equally about hoping we don't have someone who hits their penalty like Michael Gray... Whilst John Marquis, the one guy you'd expect to score his penalty, was one who missed.

All Wycombe fans saying that is the best they’ve played in a long time. Yet wasn’t are greatest yet still nearly nicked it. Roll on Thursday
If that is their best that would explain their lousy attendance figures and all the empty seats on Sunday. Wycombe are a very good argument for Gareth Ainsworth being a given a lifetime ban as his influence is still clearly evident. Wonder if they would appreciate the irony of a chorus of Dirty Northern Bs?

They'd probably take that as a badge of honour,...the yobs

The music before the game was good and our fans were joining in with it, but that noise fest at HT 😡.
