Away game don’t lose✅
gutted to be missing home game, some silly f***er mucked up dates and booked a holiday 🤦♂️
Charlton, please don’t f**k it up and I will see you all at Wembley 🙏🔴⚪️3 -
I don’t want our players to ‘enjoy the occasion’ on Thursday, be in any way distracted.
I want them to have focus, to turn up on business, and win the tie one way or another.
We can enjoy the occasion if we want, but nobody will enjoy it if we lose out.8 -
Just don't let it go to penalties...🙏7

although I don't fancy our keepers getting anywhere near any of them and you know Norris will be giving the covered end plenty once he's saved some5 -

I actually reckon we would have decent penalty takers in Godden, Coventry, Doc, Jones, Edwards, Gillesphey so wouldn't be too worried by that. Keeper wise however is a different matter, couldn't see them saving any.0 -
Doesn’t AMB have quite a good penalty saving record?1

He was an extrovert guy with good intentions, out to have his bit of fun, and why not? Life is for the living and if I had loads of dosh and could play guitar, I’d do exactly same thing (except I’d consult with fans to write the songs)
The only thing that counts is that he saved the club. Without he, we’d be lucky to be in this year's National League play-offs. He should be a guest of honour, not ridiculed.17 -

Mannion has faced 17-penalties as well, but he's saved one... When he was at Cambridge.
Shootouts are always different to a typical penalty though, so much more riding on the outcome so there is always going to1 -

2. To sit with Jacko and his wife at the POTY event, get on a plane and sack Jacko via a Zoom call 24 hours later.
3. He bought the club and PAID Nimer and Southall £1.5m, there is a significant difference to buying and saving the club. He also entered us into a short term lease with RD which is still hanging over us.
4. Guest of Honour - Total insult to so many club servants, for someone who loved telling us what he was watching when he owned us, how many games has he watched live or via a stream since leaving us?5 -
34 penalties between our 2 keepers & 2 saved
(17 each with one save each)
= 5.88%
The average is between 10-20 % (depending on which league you look out).
Our goalkeepers should be practising these every day in training. Each outfield player can take 10 penalties against each of them every day. Keep a record of the score and keep/ get the winner on the pitch at 115 minutes.
Otherwise my prediction, weeks before the play offs started, of having a penalty shoot out against Stockport will become a living nightmare.

Found myself enjoying their hypnotic acrobatics more than the game…..from time to time.1 -

If it gets to a penalty shootout I will be gutted they are there for the taking. Even if they manage through their thuggery and spoiling manage to reach 90 minutes level our fitness levels against theirs will tell in extra time. They were cramping up on Sunday they won’t cope with us full on absolutely no chance9

I know quite a few fans of other London clubs came to the Doncaster semi. I know one of them, an Arsenal fan, and he was buzzing saying that it was the best atmosphere in a game he has witnesssed. Alex Ferguson commented that it was one of the most intimidating grounds to visit. I really hope the owners make their way to the game as a rocking Valley is something else.8

Bizarre place Wycombe.
They played maximum volume music prior to KO as well and turned it off as KO was being taken.2 -

Billy_Mix said:Wycombe served up the most cynical and determined display of anti-football I've seen in 40+ years of attending matches.
The blatant timewasting didn't emerge until the final quarter but the dedication to spoiling, disruption and physical dark arts was remarkable in its consistency.
They rumbled the woeful inadequacy of referee Hallam early on and played him like the congenital idiot he is.
Were I not a Charlton fan I might even grudgingly admire how doggedly Wycombe stuck to their plan. Mike Dodds's insouciant bullshit after the match was equally impressive in its calm mendacity.
Nathan Jones is worthy of high praise for keeping his cool too, given Dodds and Wycombe's conduct.
Charlton's 13 did well to keep a lid on what must have been intense frustration.
It was truly awful to watch but the 5 minutes of football Charlton strung together after the substitutions gives hope for Thursday night.
But in no way was that the most cynical in 40+ years, unless you only occasionally attend.
It wasn't even Wycombe's worst against us, which happened under Ainsworth and they started wasting time after 20 mins.
Bullying and dirty but I've seen far far worse against us in the last few season from them, Accrington and many others.7 -

He's saved seven out of 24-penalties that he's faced,
Josh Keeley (Orient) is another who hasn't saved a penalty yet, having faced 12 in his career so far
Corey Addai (Stockport) has saved one penalty, whilst he's conceded 11.
So if it comes down to a Penalty shootout at any stage... Who da f**k knows what'll happen... Its equally about hoping we don't have someone who hits their penalty like Michael Gray... Whilst John Marquis, the one guy you'd expect to score his penalty, was one who missed.

AFKABartram said:Bigger crowds guarantee absolutely nothing. Leeds, Derby and others are case studies of that.
It’s all about what the players do on the pitch.
We beat them after extra time and penalties.
If I had to back one team, I'd back us, but it may not be easy.9 -
