If you mean Wembley mate, the architects may have left some scope for that but I can pretty much guarantee the work won’t be signed off for a week Sunday. Best hope we get some returns from the O’s instead….

What is the Godden song? Couldn’t make out the words on Thursday after he scored.

Singing Matt Godden's praises on the Greene King debate pods

You'll be amazed how underrated Godden was, especially by the Wycombe fan.

I'd genuinely have Godden over Kone any day of the week. I'd only prefer Kone cause of his age and longevity. One half a season has gone to a few fans heads.

    Aged like wine.

That Wycombe fan raised his eyebrows when I said Godden over Kone, there is no contest. Only two strikers in this league are on Matty's level, one has already been promoted, and we will be seeing the other at Wembley.
Kone looked completely disinterested on Thursday. Didn’t even look upset about being subbed, unlike Small. Could be one of those players who has skill, but actually isn’t fussed about playing football. Which is why Godden is the better striker.

Also, missed out on a potentially big pay day, when Wycombe rejected thd bid from Luton...

    Scott Parker, anyone?

Thought he was up for it in first half, but was getting more and more frustrated by the play and deliveries of his teammates. Lots of muttering swear words and looking to the sky.

He's definitely the type of forward fully focused on getting himself a goal and being the focus, rather than doing anything needed to get your team the win (like Godden).

Godden again Ole, Ole, Godden again Ole Ole, Godden again, Godden again, Godden again Ole Ole

His favourite player is Ole Gunnar Solskjær so that's why the song started.

So pleased for Matty, especially with him mentioning wanting to put things "right" after losing the Play-Off Final with Coventry a few years ago.

Thought he put every last ounce of effort into today - service was poor but he just kept going until he was pulled because he was clearly shattered.

Thought he was class and some of his touches to TC deserved a better end product

I was worried when he was subbed. Thought if Orient score we'd be in trouble

Crikes, the wording in Godden's post could not be any different from the last forward we had who helped us into the Championship!

Has anybody come across a youtube clip of every goal he has scored this season?

One of the good guys in football.

My uncle played him in golf the other week, or he was in the same tournament or something, I'm not sure how it works

Anyway, apparently he was a really top bloke and very good at golf.

We've had a lot of wage thieves over the past decade who were not only bellends, but also didn't have the skill to compensate for it.

Godden is a class character, and a very good striker. Think he will be a great asset to have next season where we will need experience.
I think that Jones is the first manager since SCP to successfully create a team/squad of the right characters and not just 30 odd disparate players.

Arguably others have tried and failed (Atkins and Holden), some never bothered (Appleton) and Bowyer and JJ both got close but got their hands tied by the ownership and had it taken away again.
