  • Seems to have been a bit of a car crash…went online yesterday at 5pm, two season tickets, 620 loyalty points, were those in the top tier which I wasn’t expecting the number sold by 5pm, which was my fault. The club art not going to make everyone happy and was always going to be open to criticism regardless.
It is a given that there will be day trippers of those who have got tickets, ie neighbours, work colleagues, friends and family whom don’t support the club.
Dare I say it that fans may not be totally computer literate, or have access to the internet yesterday, find themselves with a task of taking seats in the top tier or sadly miss out.
The Orient ticket office was open, to sell their allocation, but we elected to sell online only. It maybe would have been ideally to have two per season ticket holder, scrap all the Valley Good allocation, do a sliding scale on number of loyalty points, and then general sale, which by that time the majority of fans would have got their tickets.
As I said earlier the club are always going to be dammed, and have underestimated the demand meaning there are genuine fans or those that have been previously will either miss out or have no choice where to sit.
The remaining seats will be sold today.
Orient sales are not going well,  this is probably the floating fans in that area who either support Tottenham, West Ham or Arsenal are either at home next weekend or have played in European cup final, meaning there is a chance of getting more tickets.
One more clean sheet and sniffer dog goal on Sunday please.
    Up the Charlton.
  • I’m assuming in absolute terms not a huge number more will go in the next 2 phases as likely those are not large groups and may have already been accommodated by others purchasing on their behalf?

    Perhaps wishful thinking…

Do season ticket holders who who have already purchased but also have valley gold get access to 4 more tickets at 2pm today?
I doubt it. Also wouldn't be fair, no one needs access to buying 8 tickets anyway. Usually a ST with VG would be 4 as at same priority phase, that's a fair number.

Haven’t had a confirmation email yet but my seven tickets are showing on the website. Is it possible to view where they are situated?
On your account, click on Tickets. Check the boxes against your tickets. Then click on Distribute.
    Thanks

found them, still no email yet.

Why is your idea to scrap Valley Gold priority entirely?

They haven't even had the chance to get tickets yet, as VG opportunity to buy is today at 2pm.
Those that have Valley Gold, would have a season ticket. I cannot imagine anyone just having Valley Gold. Personally I would rather see genuine fans getting tickets with the points system. Only my opinion/

Before scrapping VG and shrinking a ST holders allocation, something simple like tickets needimg to be allocated to a actual fan would be good... even a 1 game per season supporters would be on the data base and avoids people just bringing mates for a day out.

With that said, I'm sure we'll all be sorted... just a shame for good seats to go to random.

There are VG-only fans as sometimes people’s circumstances change. People who may have once been a ST holder but can no longer attend all games.

I know a VG-only fan although that person’s ticket was sorted yesterday, there will be plenty more VG-only out there but agree the uptake today shouldn’t be huge.

I do. I live too far away to commit to a full season ticket, but try to get to the away games within a couple of hours. VG helps with away tickets and it supports the youth section.
Would it not be both better and  guarantee genuine fans getting tickets (not saying you aren’t ) that fans like yourself who do buy tickets for away games would still be able to buy Sunday’s match and not leave themselves open for another category to buy another four tickets.
    It just an opinion

There lies my point. VG members would no doubt have friends who are season ticket holders, and surely they would rather get a friend a ticket who is VG rather than a neighbour. There is no reason that the person who did get a ticket yesterday, could, not saying they will, go and buy four today.

I was going to wait for the general sale but found a work around. I’ve bought 4 u11 season tickets for next season, which has meant I’ve been able to buy 48 tickets for Wembley in the hardcore singing section. Once you get the tickets you can cancel the season tickets and get a refund for them.

Looking forward to it, we’ve got 7 Charlton fans, 5 of which who haven’t been since the Prem days and most don’t know any of the current players. Some of their other halves and kids are also coming along - not all football fans but they said they’re up for the drinks beforehand and the football should be an experience. Got some Millwall, Palace, Leicester and Man Utd mates too. Rest are for a few blokes from work and their friends of friends. Some of the work mates weren’t sure but one of them convinced them it would be a fun day out in London and they could go to a museum and an art gallery in the morning.

Not sure what all the drama is about?

    How did this work mate?

I’m overseas and really need to know if I can get tickets before Tuesday. My Dad is 80 and limited what sections can go in and also the cost of flights are going up massively (they charge more when it gets close).

Do you need to login to the account with the Season Ticket / Linked account?
I’ve just created a relationship for my daughter and bought her a season ticket. Logged in using her FanID but I am still ‘restricted’.

    Please help!
  • Could anyone take a screenshot of the current stadium map with 4x tickets selected? Just interested to see what tiers are left. Thanks in advance!

I could do with this also.
  • Thanks @se9addick, that's made me calmer before 2pm.
  • Yeah that search function is bizarre, 4 together would make more sense !

Really poor design.  Obviously people are looking for 4 seats together, not randomly dispersed.

Also the ‘choose seats for me’ option just errors (for me) so even if you choose 4 and don’t care where you sit, the system will not do the work for you to find sequential seats.

Oh, now I feel really stupid.
I didn’t read the second half of his message and just thought was worth 75quid so I can sort my flights and hotel now. FFS I’m a twat 🤦🏼‍♂️
