£5.50 for 4 Stella's in Sainsbury's. That's 8 Stella's to be halfway rat arsed before Wembley, for the price to enter a place to buy a single drink.
The train will be my pub, proper Charlton.
I like your style that's what me and the lot I'm going with will do,early breakfast at cafe then buy some tins for on the way on train and then hit a pub but I said if everywhere's packed there's always an off license about.
Surprisingly easy to get Boxpark tickets... max of 5 per booking
Yep big group of us all managed to get ours. At least we know we can get in somewhere, it has stuff for the kids and also we don't have to worry about the will it, won't it rain that people planning to go somewhere like the Green Man might have to.
Really looking forward to it now, Up the Addicks!!

Both BOXPARK Wembley and the Arena Square Fan Zone have been allocated as Charlton-only locations on matchday.
With four huge bars, over 20 different food vendors, giveaways and tonnes more, BOXPARK Wembley is the place to be ahead of kick-off this weekend! The venue will be open from 9am until 11pm on the day, with tickets on sale now and priced at £10 for adults. Click here to purchase yours.
Pre-booked tickets are valid for entry before 11am. From that point onwards, tickets can be purchased on the door on a first come, first served basis.
Supporters must show their match ticket upon entry to BOXPARK, who will not be screening the match. All those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 25.
Located on the west side of Wembley Stadium, the Arena Square Fan Zone will be open to supporters from 10am until 12.30pm and is free to enter, but you must present your match ticket for entry.
Food and drink will be available to purchase and there are a number of activities planned for fans to keep an eye out for on the day.
The club have been also been allocated the following pubs and bars:
Supporters are advised that street drinking in the areas surrounding Wembley Stadium is not permitted, so a dedicated Wembley Fan Zone or pub is the best place for fans to go to soak up the pre-match atmospher

Yeah drinks on the train for me and maybe squeeze in somewhere.
I think they're taking the piss charging an entry fee when they're only open for 2 hours.
Fair enough you can probably go back in at full time, but if we lose, could you be arsed.
Straight on the train tracks for me if we lose, sorry train home.

Can someone confirm you definitely cannot drink a can of beer near the stadium? Do they confiscate these as you get off the train / tube? If they do, how far can you stand from the stadium whilst drinking?
If anyone knows.
EDITED: Just looked it up myself:
Street drinking is not permitted anywhere in Brent. Fans drinking on Olympic Way and the surrounding area will be asked to hand over their alcohol including any closed containers. You will receive a £100 fine if you refuse to comply immediately.
Going to park up in Kingsbury (most roads seem to be ok to park on Sundays) for about 9am have breakfast in Wetherspoons next to the station and then get a tube to Wembley Park to soak up the atmosphere .

Each to their own, but it's a tenner. In the grand scheme of things i don't think it's going to make much of a dent in the overall cost of the day.
As a local to the area, I’d suggest going to Kilburn as they have 3 pubs all near the station : The North London tavern, Brondes Age and another one I can’t remember name of all literally 2/3 min walk from Jubilee line which is 3 stops from the insanity of Wembley
Side note, I think The North London Tavern is David Mitchell’s local so if you’re a Peep Show fan he’s often in there on a Sunday afternoon and can pose with ‘Clean Shirt’ after we get promoted 🤞

For England games there are stewards/police at the bottom of the steps from Wembley park station that will ask you to bin any alcohol. Assume it will be the same here

Tenner to each of us, 20 grand for them, before any drink or food is sold.
Gotta stick it to the man, man.
To be clear, I don't care how people choose to spend their money, bugs me how easy they've just made 20 grand. Cheeky as.

Hospitality has been battered. The margins are small enough as it is, I can't imagine they'll see much of that £20k as profit.

Large car park at Stanmore if a helps?
Thanks mate. There is a Wetherspoons next door to Kingsbury station so looking forward to an early breakfast after our drive down from Cheshire, so will proably stick with plan A . Thanks again though
