Any West Country Addicks heading up on the 8:30 from Exeter St David’s? Travelling up on my own so company would be great, to ease the nerves more than anything lol
Howabout suggestions for pubs a few stops from Wembley that will be open before and after - mainly before in the morning !
Last time went to north Marylebone
We went sport bar and grill in station at Marylebone last time worked out decent.
Sport bar and grill at Marylebone doesnt open until 1000am on a Sunday. Leaves it a bit tight for time.
Its 10 mins on the train to Wembley Stadium station & less than a 10 min walk to the ground.
Good point. I hadn't realised how frequent the Overground trains out of Marylebone are and how much quicker when compared to using the Tube.
Chiltern stop more trains at Wembley Stadium station when there are big games on.
Wembley Stadium event - League One Play Off Final (Charlton Athletic vs Leyton Orient; 13.00 KO).
In respect of the Wembley Stadium event, an enhanced timetable will be in operation for most of the day, with additional Wembley Stadium stops in trains, and also some additional trains.
The Brewdog outside Waterloo station opens at 8am on a Sunday I shall spend a couple of hours in there and then get the jubilee line straight to Wembley. Aiming to get to the stadium by 12 as I can see plenty of confusion at the turnstiles with people having multiple barcodes on their phone.

Getting to the stadium by 12 makes sense, given the scope for delay and confusion.
We arrived at The Valley just under 30 minutes before the Wycombe game to be confronted with a huge queue. When we got to the front less than 15 minutes before kick-off, it transpired that the QR code tickets in our Apple Wallets had been cancelled, so we had to queue again at the ticket office and then re-queue at the turnstiles to get in. In the end, we only missed the first 3 minutes, so it was fine but the play-offs are stressful enough without that sort of nonsense. The tickets must have been mistakenly reissued. I haven't bothered our ticket office with it given the demands being placed on them, although I wonder if the problem arose because of this 'Ticket Geek' outfit who were deployed by the club ?
Let's hope there's no repetition on Sunday. The sooner that Wembley and the club get these e-tickets out for printing the better.
Whilst most open at 11 or 12, there are a number that open at 10am (and some do breakfasts) if it’s a handy starting meet up. From what I’ve seen, the following open at 10:
Old Thameside Inn The George The Bridge Tap Horniman @ Hays Galleria Pommelers Rest (Spoons) 8am

Surely if you're going to wait for one of those to open at 10 (apart from the spoons), you're better off just going to a pub near Marylebone or Baker St which is then just a few minutes to Wembley. If you go to London Bridge you're still about half an hour from Wembley.
Many will, but some might want the option of somewhere to meet up with people coming from other lines, have a beer or bite, then get the Jubillee from LB to Wembley

I'll be heading to the Robin, much safer there.
