I bought tickets on Tuesday and they appear in ticket section on website, all options are greyed out and I've received no confirmation email, is this the case for everyone?

You should definitely have received a confirmation email from ticket@cafc.co.uk - have you checked your junk folder?
When you join the queue and it says you are number 4,178 does anyone believe there are 4,178 in the queue , the numbers seem too massive anyone gone in at a real low number
I bought 7 tickets, 5 in one block and 2 in another. I have just received the tickets for the two in the separate block, anyone else in a similar situation?
I'd like to think that when our extra 1,400 tickets are sold in about 10 minutes today, and with Orient's sales hitting a brick wall because they literally have no one else on their database to sell to, we'll get a further announcement later today.
Currently we're looking at about 66k sales to us and Orient, plus corporates/whatever the EFL keep. The reality is that probably still leaves about 15-18k empty seats, which is complete madness when both sides could easily sell more.
Has Wembley got a functioning Twitter account?. If so, it’s time to start “engaging” with it.
Its about time they and our club started to engage a little more. When exactly will the tickets be issued. I have never experienced anything so haphazard and frustrating when buying tickets for any event let alone the most important one for many years. I bought off Charlton, last Saturday, 4 tickets that they don't have but sold to me anyway. Wembley issue the tickets when and in what order? So close to the the actual match day I would of expected a ticket with the confirmation email or at most a couple of hours later, it shouldn't take days. Any problems there is only today or tomorrow to try and sort things out.
Orients are only on general sale to fans who are on their database from recent years , I’ve had Orient (swear this fella was West Ham) fans from old asking me for tickets , one had a season ticket for 20 years but not been for 5 years due to family commitments, obviously sent them packing .
I take this as a personal challenge!
I last went, and only went, to an Orient game 11 years ago (me & @GlassHalfFull went to their playoff semi vs Peterbrough in 2014 as neutrals - a last-minute general sale purchase)
Anyway - I figured I must have a dormant account somewhere.
Dormant account revived, I can buy up to 4 tickets.
I couldn't buy more than 5, though the website didn't make it clear why, but I figured out the limit of 4 rule. If like me your mate didn't bother reading their FAQs beforehand, maybe that's what he encountered, but didn't adjust the basket to 4? Get him to try again and buy fewer, he might be ok.
(Edit - have done a few more checks, I can buy up to 6, not 4)
(Edit 2 - remembering what I did, I had to register for a new account. When I did that, it subsequently matched the new account to the dormant one, and I was validated)
And no, before anyone asks... I'm not helping anyone out via this route!

Were are looking at a crowd of around 64k with ticket sales where they are for both teams. I reckon it could hit over 70-75k by the time tickets go off sale.

It will be inflated by people having more than 1 browser open. I was about number 300 the other day, think any lower than that and you’re getting in pretty much straight away

On Saturday we had one at 300 with a 1 min wait. I was about 4,000 something and 20 odd mins
Has Wembley got a functioning Twitter account?. If so, it’s time to start “engaging” with it.
Won’t be their decision, it’s down to the EFL as the event organiser and the clubs
Really? Surely the logistic aspects have to be in the hands of the stadium operator?
EFL effectively rent the stadium from Wembley/The FA and will have to put on their event within the Wembley requirements. In terms of who gets what tickets, Wembley have basically no say in it at all. It’s the same with any event there, if you put on a concert it is up to you how you categorise the tickets, how you lay out the stadium etc. Each “promoter” will have a license, if they go outside of the regulations/guidelines they risk the validity of said license

I agree the semi- final should have been a reminder how NOT to do things. I have spoken with my friends who are Sheffield Utd supporters, they were only allowed one ticket each although most got two but they had there email and tickets instantly. I know it’s not those who work in the ticket office fault, it’s the system in place. Everything is being double handled. The software Charlton use is pants, and before people have a go YES I did work in I.T. before I retired. Again it’s not the people who work in the ticket office they have a sub standard cheap system.
I actually think we'd beat that record if the powers that be hadn't messed about and delayed the release of further tickets. We could probably have shifted 45k, and Orient maybe 30k, then add on the corporates to that as well.

Yes I received 2 tickets I purchased the Sunday but not the 8 I got on Saturday about 15:15ish…but I have got the transaction numbers so should all be good & if what club are saying about being sent out before 8pm tonight, its just a waiting game me thinks…🫣

Orient have got approx 500 still not sold (plus approx 10,000 they've not put on sale).
That's a good effort from then. They may even get to 35k
I thought they would sell a maximum 30,000 and I still think that, if they sell approx 5,000 on General Sale.
Orient have barely sold any tickets now to fans on their system for 2 hours. They have to put the rest of their allocation on General Sale and common sense dictates that we will also be allocated more for General Sale. If not we will start buying in their end.
26000 sold according to their forum.
26,400 according to their Chief Exec on twitter.
They appear great numbers but a lot of their supporters are twins.

Agreed, not actually having tickets to sell for a couple of days massively undermines the momentum that we had going with sales.

Well they must both work together on this, surely? Well it doesn't matter either way. The point is not to be right or wrong on CL, it is to put pressure on whoever takes the decision, to get more tickets. So in my tweet I've already tagged the EFL even though I started by replying to a Wembley tweet. So please everyone, like/RT those tweets, and do your own to both Wembley and the EFL. Something like this can work, but only if enough volume builds up.
Seeing as Orients general sale window ends at 5pm on Friday, I reckon we will be given a further block by block allocation after then.
Anything before that time then whoever makes that decision is opening themselves up for criticism for ‘moving the goalposts’. Could you imagine if roles were reversed and some of our fans planned to buy on Friday only for the allocation to be reduced and they missed out.

Charlton v Sunderland remains highest attendance in L1 history at 76k.

Set up someone else to take the blame. 😉
