It’s all down to the owners…double down, back Nathan and have a pretty good chance of being in the same place as we were at 12.55 today, or not double down and repeat what Roland experienced

Agree wholeheartedly. They invest in the squad and it gives Nathan a chance to establish us. To be honest anything less than very decent investment and we’ll definitely struggle.
Let’s just skip it for one day. All I’ll say today is, I hope we make a go of it this time and believe we have serious owners who won’t waste the opportunity.

This is an important observation. Anything less than very decent investment now will be a wasted opportunity. We can and must consolidate in The Championship but only if Jones is supported. Going back down next season and have no doubt it will be hard would be a disaster. We can’t thrive in the third tier.
Derby, Oxford and Portsmouth all staying up bodes pretty well, seems there's not that same jump as Championship to PL.
There's a lot of decent established teams there but Hull, Preston, Oxford, Derby, Wednesday are there to be beaten with some decent investment and decent signings.
George Elek on the Not the Top 20 podcast wanted Orient to win today, because he felt that Charlton would be much harder competition for his Oxford side than Orient.
As an aside, I imagine Bolton are delighted we went up. Us going up with Birmingham and Wrexham is a perfect end of season result for them, as if they get their act together next season, they'll fancy finishing ahead of all the 3 beaten playoff teams.
To stay up just would be good. But the club will need a big revamp of the squad, lets be honest our regular starting eleven will struggle in the Championship.

Having watched all of your three play off games, I would say all those three teams who came up last season are better than Charlton to be totally honest. (Oxford just marginally).
You definitely do need some investment. The teams you mentioned in the second paragraph, whilst not the best the championship has to offer, they all managed to stay up last season and will also be looking to strengthen over the summer themselves.
It’s a huge summer for you lot. Your owners really need to step up now.
Our defence is decent enough for Champ. We need a fetch and carry midfielder to replace Doc. A 10 as we don't have a Champ level one. A striker , a defender and a better goalie. We will get to midtable with those 5.
Our whole thing this season has been about us being extremely tough to break down - I don't think that'll change much next season, even against tougher opposition.
Scoring on the other hand will be our weakness I suspect. I think we'll grind out enough results to survive, its not going to be pretty Football, we wont win any fans based on "sexy Football", but it'll be effective.

As it stands, of course they are.
But we've got a summer to improve (and I agree we need to, and that the owners need to step up).
I don't think those 3 teams were any better this time last year than we are now - Leagie One was an easier league last season than this for a start - no Birmingham, Wrexham money etc.

We’ll lose Aneke, Ahadme and Godden won’t be as effective in The Championship. Leaburn hasn’t kicked on this season and we can’t rely on Mbick and Kanu. We need two Championship strikers or we’ll be in big trouble.
We need to rethink our plans going forward, can't rely on those cross-field balls in the Championship.
Wing play, central midfield and strikers need to improve.
Some of it I'm sure can be done with a long pre-season, but we'll need a lot of signings in this summer to push to midtable.
then we need midfielders who can hold the ball in midfield and make considered passes, not the rushed I hope some one is there passes we saw a lot of today.
