Nice touch and looks classy on the ball, but his engine and mobility aren't good enough to make an impact on games.

If you took his control and passing and combined it with the engine and workrate of a Karoy Anderson or George Lapslie, you'd have an excellent midfielder.
And they’d be sold within 50 appearances for us, if they stayed long enough to make their first team debut!

It took Rochdale from the conference 2 games to realise Matt Penny was shit, took us 5 in league 1

Ah, so he's like Terry Taylor. He's...like a new signing?
  • Had a good range of passing, and a decent shot, but unfortunately in this modern world of football, he lacked pace, in fact very slow, and struggled to get around the pitch.

No way does he play for Charlton under Jones. He's not very quick, he's not particularly strong and he's never really shown much inclination to scrap and press.

Taylor is basically a better version of Henry and he can't even make the bench at the moment.

Saw Louis Mendez and a few others mention his goal vs QPR. Had completely forgotten it (hey it was in the Pizza Trophy) - https://youtu.be/kCFtDnVek5s?si=dum2cVBIq4g2g_En

Less than 3 years ago - Garner as manager and by god what players he was playing with. No wonder he looked ok, but sad he didn’t push on

Great hit on him when circumstances allow.
Hope he stays in the game at a respectable level.

A couple of reasonable games earned him a 2 year contract, during which time he never played a first team minute for us.

I’d always rather we take a risk on our younger players if the club see potential. Won’t always work but I doubt he’s been on mega money and he’ll have tried his absolute best to cut it.
