Someone on Facebook has shown Palace academy player Danny Imray wearing a Charlton shirt in a gym.
I scouted him a while ago for Hartlepool when he was at Palace u21s. He started as right back but covered the whole wing as Palace were reduced to 10 men. He was very decent and did well from Bromley last season too Very hard working. Incidentally Conor Coventry scored an Absolute banger for West Ham in this game too.

It does say that. Bloody good player though tbf. Certainly for as lot of NJ “wants” in his armoury. A lot to ask for him to go the the Championship straight from League 2
Seems this scouting & signing stuff is a right lark.
Just sign all your old players and jobs a good 'un.
Problem is we re-sign all the injured & dross like Aneke, Famewo & Djikstel whilst the quality like Beedle go elsewhere.
Aneke has been released.
I'm talking about all signings.....past, present & future.
I've hardly post on this thread as it's a waste of time. There are no rumours (yet) and when they do emerge they are few & far between.
95% of this thread is people posting about their wants, ifs & maybe's......and 75% of that is about previous players. Last couple of seasons is was Jordan Cousins and now its Dejikstel, Famewo, and a few other players we've released over the years. You could probably put together a starting 11 from all the names mentioned.
And then when it's not about our old players it's about players we've not got a hope in hell of signing. 2 days ago it was Danny Ings ffs !!!
I agree - this thread isn’t for the faint of heart. Might be best to head over to the 'Panini Sticker Album 2025/26' thread - probably more your speed.
I imagine he'd be one for the future rather than someone expected to go straight into the 1st team. Not everyone we sign will be for the next season in the Championship.
Imray would be a very good signing to compete with Small at RWB but I don't know if Palace would let him go on a permanent. Could be a feasible loan signing.

Perhaps a potential friendly swap with Nathan Asiimwe to keep the message boards happy!

Hmmmm, his cousin works in my team. Will ask the question. Pretty sure he’s a West Ham fan.

It's going to be tough enough competing financially and getting the right players to avoid relegation. I don't think "one's for the future" are a luxury we can afford much at the moment.
Is there actually any real interest in Danny Imray or is this just us speculating because of the Charlton shirt thing ? On the face of it, it would seem like a logical bit of business?
It's an excellent clip spoilt by CM digging out fans again.
His argument is also undermined by the fact that in the short time he was at the club we had three different managers with three different styles.
But yes he is correct that you need to have all parts of the club aligned to achieve long term success.
And that is why I and others reject the stance of "all that I care about is what happens on the pitch" because all the behind the scenes stuff matters.
But that view is in part created and maintained by the likes of CM who deem fans too stupid to understand what is happening and so don't explain the strategy or process to them

100%. The club was hollowed out and the basic necessities were neglected or worse. Lose that foundation and the first team is built on nothing more than sand. It’s one of the unsung things about the current regime. We’ve had a number of very impressive appointments (and departures) to the management structure but I’m sure there’s still more to do. I’m certainly very encouraged by the new owners.

Wycombe were linked with taking over his loan back in January.
