Is that an unfair take, @Swisdom, you may know the agent?

Having said that, his name and pic does not appear under their list of clients. That list does include Johnny Jackson and a couple of young Addicks.1

For what it's worth I dated for several years a key member of the Preston women's team and we still talk a lot! Small hasn't been at their training ground at any point from what I've been told ( although he still could be on holiday idk)1

Yeah it’s Fortunes agency - Two Touch
he works with Paolo Vernazza who has a bit of previous for not quite following the rules and acting in his own best interests….
hopefully Fortune is the guvnor there however he is NOT a registered agent himself according to the list on the FA website

https://wellingunited.com/2025/06/wings-sign-goalkeeper-jack-west-astuti/Welling sign a 26 year old GK who trained with our first team last season. Managed by our former loanee Lee Martin.
Recommended by Solly and Henderson. His new boss Martin added: “We are thrilled to welcome Jack on board.
“He was strongly recommended to me by Chris Solly and Stephen Henderson at Charlton, where he served as a training goalkeeper.

How come JF is still not a registered agent? He has been doing this for a while. This sort of general murkiness does not help improve the reputation of the agency "profession".0 -

I’m starting to get vibes with Small that we may be in an NJ knows best situation here. After all, he did regularly substitute him and it usually worked out.We know the club have put a contract offer in front of him which he has not yet signed. It suggests he / his agent might value himself higher than the club do. I love watching him play - he brings great excitement and wholehearted commitment and I’ll be disappointed if we don’t re-sign him. IMO he’s not that easy to replace - but then NJ loves to prove us all wrong on occasion as we know only too well.10

Scoham said:Worth reading the chat on Cawley’s Substack, he’s answering some of the questions.
Ruled out JRS returning due to salary and wages (not surprising).
No news on Small, imagines his agent is fishing around to see what’s out there.
Can’t see FFP/spending limits being an issue.3 -

Replacing Small will be a challenge, that wing back/winger type is quite rare, only other I can think of is Randell Williams1
