Should sell them all out. The demand was 50k at Wembley.
14% of our Wembley demand to sell out Blackburn away. Easily done.
I realise you are joking, but I have been there when we have taken 200.
Think we only took 1k when we had them first game back in the championship in 2019.
We did. I was there. Great win and great start to the season.
Likewise. I remember well saying to myself "f*ck me he's good" when Gallagher came on as sub. Smash and grab win followed by a similar game at The Valley the following week against Stoke. Top of the table after 2 games will suit me for next season!
Norwich, Southampton, Watford, Millwall, QPR, Pompey, Oxford, Ipswich, Hull, Middlesbrough, Swansea, Leicester, Blackburn, Coventry, Derby, Stoke, Sheffield Weds are the ones I may go to.. but that is 17 and I doubt I do more than 8 at a push in reality.

I remember it as the day William Hill wouldn’t pay out my ‘Charlton and both teams to score’ bet because Blackburn’s goal was an own goal.
My lad wants to go to Southampton, Norwich, Watford, QPR and Cov, so hopefully all good for those.
Coventry mainline is a trot from the ground, Coventry Arena station is the one to use.
I went to a Coventry game as a neutral a year or two ago and the trains to Coventry Arena station are tiny and not very frequent. Unless you're arriving a long time in advance, a bus from the station may be a better option.
According to my Spanner mate … I know, I know… we will only get upper tier again
I’m pretty sure you’ll get the lower tier this time. Most clubs do. Won’t be anywhere near 4 k though. I think the end only holds 3k. But the club will probably want to keep a block at each end of the lower tier empty so you’ll probably get about 2700.
Just try not to smash up the bogs again this time. Bloody Charlton hooligans 😉

Hope we do. And agree about the loos, pathetic behaviour

Same. Will make for a better atmosphere.
Really looking forward to it. Will be the first fixture I look for when the fixtures come out in a couple of weeks (counting down the days already lol). Anyone who says this fixture doesn’t matter needs to give their head a wobble. Any fixture against a team that close to you geographically matters. Buzzing for the new season already.

A great introduction to men's football. He came on and just oozed class - I turned to CatJnr and said 'That kid'll play for England one day'

We didn't take many more when we won the title there in 2000!
This was owing to the fact it was a bank holiday Monday I think and Portsmouth (I think) or another promotion rival had had a surprising slip up making promotion possible at very short notice.
We drew. Curbishley playing ultra conservative football on the day when could and should have won handsomely. I was disappointed in that.

Bloody hell. That’s a joke. Did you argue it out with them? If it states 'Blackburn to score’ and the score shows a number other than zero after their name then it means they scored. Do they pay out if I bet on a draw, and one team wins by one goal with an own goal? They can’t have it both ways.

As an aside, Sunderland got 3,800, because they are nice. Portsmouth got 2,000 as they are (pwopa) naughty. Charlton are inbetween, so may get a few on the lower tier.

It led to the most bizarre exchange on the customer ‘support’ live chat.
‘Look at the number next to the word Blackburn. What does that say?’ ’Sir, the terms of the bet have not been met.’
And so on until I completely lost my rag and had to be warned about my aggressive language.
They paid in the end along with a free bet to apologise for the ‘misunderstanding’.

Sunderland bought just over 3000 last season at the den and that’s as close to a sell out you’ll get in the away end at the den.

So you 'lose' 800 tickets for segregation purposes?

If the two end blocks of the lower tier each hold 400 (20 rows x20) then yes

I can only assume that @blackpool72 was not at the game to hold things together
Yep, and similar numbers at Carlisle for the last promotion there.
One an hour I gather.
Do you go to the games with @Woodwork ?
