Charlton Athletic are proud to welcome MaxAmaze, a global leader in immersive fan experience technology, as the men’s first-team's new back-of-short partner for the 2025/26 season. The partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship—it marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration focused on elevating matchday experience and stadium infrastructure.

As part of the agreement, MaxAmaze will be installing a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient floodlight system at The Valley later this year. This upgrade is a key step in enhancing both the visual atmosphere and sustainability of the stadium.

With a growing portfolio across sports, MaxAmaze is redefining what it means to engage supporters—offering integrated solutions across stadium lighting, audio-visual systems, pyrotechnics, and digital fan interaction. Their work has positioned them at the forefront of the sports entertainment industry, partnering with leading clubs and federations worldwide.

Managing Director at MaxAmaze, Craig Poskitt, commented: “Our expansion into the UK market has been phenomenal, and partnering with a club like Charlton, with its incredible legacy and fanbase, is an exciting chapter. We're not just installing lights—we’re delivering technology that transforms how fans feel and remember the game, we are also a partner, a key element in our strategy"

Charlton's Chief Operations Officer and board member Ed Warrick said: “We’re thrilled to welcome MaxAmaze to the Charlton family. As we continue to move forward as a club, we’re constantly striving to meet elite-level standards.

“While our current floodlights are fully compliant, they are ageing and, as we saw last season, in need of upgrading. We sourced a temporary solution that carried us through to the end of the campaign – including that incredible night under the lights against Wycombe Wanderers.

“This new partnership with MaxAmaze enables us to install a cutting-edge floodlight system. The upgrade will enhance visibility for both supporters and players inside the stadium and will also help reduce our energy consumption – supporting our drive toward greater environmental and financial sustainability.”

  • Not just a brighter Valley, seems they’re going to light up our lives as well.
  • Is this back of short(s) or shirt ?
  • So light show capability and enhanced PA maybe?

I see no problem with fancy lights at all as all adds to the atmosphere. It certainly can’t detract.

    Got to be good news.
  • Brilliant - light shows and fireworks.
  • Charlton's Chief Operations Officer and board member Ed Warrick - is this the first time hes used that title? thought he was finance?

  • Sounds like the 'somebody just needs to sign it off' bit has finally happened.

Look forward to seeing the upgrade. Am fine with light shows, as long as they don't make you dizzy!
  • I presume the outfit they did the pyrotechnics for the Wycombe game.
  • "We're not just installing lights—we’re delivering technology that transforms how fans feel and remember the game".

    Thats quite the quote.
Word soup that you hope will be associated with the most sustainable, entertainable, inspirational club…

This is what we (cohesively) call The Charlton Shoooooow

That confirms perhaps what I said yesterday - Warwick COO with Murphy focusing on the playing side but still with overall control. Just guessing, I don't know, but would make sense. The question about where Rodwell fits in still stands.
  • How engaged can you really be in floodlights? Anyway, thanks for the money.
  • Nice. They’ve been tendering this for months.  Lots of work has gone into this from various places.  Plenty of delays and “hold on, we’ll get back to you”

    did they fuck

just went with the cheapest quote or a more flexible payment plan.  Good luck to them.

For anyone curious, yes they are the same people behind the light show fiasco at Millwank
I knew that was going to be the case before I read the first post.
    C'est la vie.

    Reads like you also quoted.

The lights hypnotise the opposition so they play badly.

Isn’t that defined as ‘sustainable’ by our club these days?
    😉😆

I imagine we wont learn how much of a cash investment this sort of thing is. But regardless It has to be a step up from
the current set up from a fans perspective.
