Someone on here said a few weeks ago that we had already signed 4 players - when are they to be announced ???
While i'm on here, its a definite no to Cornick, Plange and Dijksteel
I think the actual words were 4 agreed which is not the same thing. Carey may well have been one of those, then others maybe changed or are being renegotiated due to our new league status.
Or maybe it was never true at all.
No idea on the 4 but Holidays and current tournaments will be a factor
Just WHO is OFFERING us Fabianski ?? He's out of contract so he is not tied to any club. Just lazy journalism being repeated ad-infinitum on here.
He rejected Legia Warsaw in favour of London stay.
Championship (lets be honest he wouldn't sink lower) has: Charlton, Millwall, QPR and Watford (if you count them as a London side). Doubt he'd go to another Premier league side.
Cawley has also reported that Nathan Jones is planning on adding a younger goalkeeper to his ranks this summer instead of an experienced option, which would seemingly rule out a swoop for Fabianski's services this summer.
Jayson Molumby is out of contract, seems the type of player that would be right up Jones’ street. Simply because he was scrapping the Mallorca players last pre season

Announce Messi.
Or one of those lads from Auckland FC.

That's what happens when you decide to join the Australian A-League Men.
Not sure why anyone going for promotion would sign him based on his body of work so far
15 goals 8 assists for us in league 1 plus 7G 2A in the championship last season is easily enough to interest top championship teams. It was his first year at championship level so you’d expect him to be hitting double figures next season (which he’d have probably hit last season if he’d played more). He’d be a top signing for any team in the league, so he’s way out of our league unfortunately
For Palace to get anywhere near £15m for him he just needs to go out on loan to a Championship club that knows how to get the best out of him and that will play him for most games over the whole season so he can get those ‘come and buy me’ goals and assists. Just a question of finding a Championship club where he can settle in quickly and hit the ground running…
Dundee released their retained player list yesterday and for Mulligan it said 'in discussion'. Which basically means they've offered him a deal but there's no chance he'll sign it.

And Scott Fraser was released by Dundee , he missed most of the season through injury..

But not signed, publically at least, for anyone else as yet.

Unfortunately that club isn’t us. We are going to be one of the teams with the least possession and least chances/goals. Palace won’t want him to come back here as he’s less likely to post the kind of numbers needed

No not yet. I'd assume Mulligan is waiting to see if the new Rangers manager wants him and if so, where he fits in.

I’m not saying you’re wrong mate but we also need to wait and see what happens in terms of incoming players. We could start the season with a front footed possession based squad

Possession based and Nathan Jones don’t mix, we have about 19/20 first team players not even half of them can play a possession based system. If were ranked 13th for possession as a top L1 side there’s no chance we’re going to have any possession as a bottom championship side
Sounds like Josh may me a Mulligan for CAFC if Rangers don't do a deal but far from a Gimme. Still a fair way to go and no cast iron certainty but we could be the club for Josh despite not looking like a Major signing, if he emulates Josh Edwards even Golfie will be happy 😀
I do find it interesting we've got links to 3 players that are all potential RWBs that can operate in other positions too. Think we'll probably sign 2 of them given we probably need to replace Small and Watson and then NJ can keep Ramsay at RCB.

There was never anything more concrete in that than some interest very early in the window. I’d be surprised if Russell Martin followed up on it but never say never.
The rumour that he was doing a medical at Ibrox was put out by a dodgy Rangers blog with a history of getting a lot of things wrong - that was picked up by a prolific reposter of rumours on the Charlton hashtag (who doesn’t verify any sources before they repost) and then a load of Rangers fans saw that and thought that kid was an ITK Charlton source, when they hadn’t realised he just picked it up from a blog they knew was bogus.
All very silly season, all very summer transfer window nonsense.

If you could bet on the lowest possession based team across a season, I would say it would be like printing money if they gave us odds.
We were heavily outposessed by Leyton Orient at Wembley, and as you say mid-table for it in the league, that won't change for next season.
Not that I mind, it got us up and gives us the best chance of staying up with the quality of our squad vs the League. Trying to play a bit would probably have us getting battered most weeks, our style will frustrate a lot of teams and we will pick up results.

It doesn’t have to be one extreme or the other. We won’t turn into a tiki taka side under Jones but I wouldn’t expect that to mean we abandon any idea of trying to improve on the ball as well.
Why do you think we’re so interested in Ethan Galbraith, despite him clearly not fitting the mold of last season’s squad? It’s because Jones knows our on-the-ball numbers need to improve for next season.

A lot of 'possession' these days is teams passing it around at the back. Deadly to watch and sometimes leading to goals when poor defenders who cannot pass give it away 30 yards from their goal. Get the ball up the pitch as quick as possible works better unless you are a top Premier side.
I think we should just write to the EFL and ask if Orient can take our place instead.
Yes, of course it's going to be difficult but ffs the pessimism already and it's not even July
There is no need to be pessimistic. To think this point last year we were days away from signing Luke Berry and Godden and Josh came in July. (also the rest of the incomings)
Think the only reason we are (pessimistic) was this unnecessary transfer window from the 1-10th transfer window (because of the CWC)
